Our Story
Beginning of the journey..
Years before we started, we had a brief encounter over the internet when we were both in secondary school. We both had a common friend who created a MIRC channel and we chatted once or twice over the internet (hey! MIRC was hot THEN.. but now.. it kinda disappeared)
Years later, we met again during the NTU NBS Freshmen Orientation 2003. Our paths crossed again. Ching felt that Terence was sooo irritating and he didn’t like her very much then, simply coz she ”spit” water + salivia all over his face. O.o
Days went by and Terence started to ask Ching out. We went on a couple of dates.. to get presents, to collect NDP tickets etc.. we often talked to each other over ICQ / MSN (YES! ICQ was once very popular.. )
And the story goes on from here…. :)
The Proposal (Part A)
Terence was watching tv one fine day and saw an advertisement on tv. It was about a Build-To-Order Project for new flats in the East, so he asked Ching whether she wanted to apply the flat with him over the phone. Ching was upset (obviously!), but agreed as it was of a good location, plus its indeed cheaper la~ (Reality sucks sometimes)
This was how Ching was proposed to....

The Proposal (Part B)

The actual proposal (with ring, of coz!) came almost 1 year later, when we decided to go Hong Kong during the December holidays. Ching always wanted to visit Disneyland, so we decided to head to Hong Kong for a ”cool” holiday. (winter mah!) Ching felt that something was amis and asked if Terence was intending to propose to her in Hong Kong. Ching likes to break her own surprises.. and even checked his room, briefcase and luggage bag prior to the flight for any suspicious ring. Well, he did a great job hiding it, (so much so that Ching still doesn't know where he hid it then!) and proposed officially in the plane, high up in the sky.. it was romantic and sweet! (although he fumbled thru his words, had a difficult time digging the ring box from his pocket, no kneeling and no flowers!)
Yes! Terence and Ching are engaged with effect from 12/12/2007! :)
Officially Mr and Mrs Koh

We were supposed to have our ROM on the 14th of June, but due to some unforseen circumstances, we got a slot on the 15th of June instead..
Our whole family and some friends turned up for the event. For the first time, the JP allowed the entire group to enter the room. It was jam-packed! The whole ceremony took less than 1/2 hr.. with the poor photographer (Kuang, sorry!) stuck at a corner trying to get shots of us.
After which, we headed down to Zhou's Kitchen @ Anchorpoint for a simple lunch to thank all our relatives and friends for attending our solemnization.
