First of all, God is love and without his love and grace and plan, we would not be here today. Luckily, he created us for one another- balanced out Aaron's music with Jordan's words, Aaron's goofiness with Jordan's seriousness and pondering, and gave us some mutual loves: coffee, bikes, talking out obscure ideas, food, art in different forms, organic food, finding ways to serve Christ, odd eating habits, and a winding list of other things that we discover each day.
Our wedding day is a day to thank God for creating us in his image and allowing us to love one another. It is a day to celebrate his love within us and a lifetime of serving him and loving each other to the best of our abilities.
Our wedding day is also a day to thank each of you who have supported us and made friendship and companionship a real living, breathing thing.
We want the day to reflect that. The ceremony will be at Jordan's home church, Glenwood Baptist and a potluck celebration will follow a la' different but very close location. Yes, there will be music and a few other suprises to make our day special.
In Christ,
a&j
From Jordan:
And you may be wondering why we choose April Fool's day. On April 1st, many, many, many, years ago Alma Alene Pate and Billy William Shuford got married. They are my mamaw and papaw and their lives are one of the sweetest testimonies of love I've ever seen. I am honored to get married on a Friday afternoon, and on April the 1st, just like they did. ~jordan
