I have a LOT of thoughts on wedding planning....and not all are happy ones.
My Something Blue
I bought my wedding shoes. I bought a pair of heels and some ballet flats for the party. The two pairs cost me less than $50 all together. What a great deal. I had to convince people that blue shoes are truly in. It worked in the end because, lucky for me, Carrie Bradshaw wears some fierce Manolos in Sex and the City during her wedding. I am going to set up some cake tastings in the next few days because I am going to be traveling to CA soon.
Dress Came In/ Finished Our Save the Dates!
OMG I am super excited about my dress getting into the store. Problem is, the hours for which I can try said dress on are horrible for friends to tag along with. Kat is visiting this upcoming week, but the store will be closed. Damn!

We are buying a house! NWR
So, the biggest news we have had this week is that we put in an offer for a townhouse in Williamburg, Brooklyn, and it got accepted! So, we are still in the early paper work part, but it looks like we’ll be moving soon! YIPPEE! The neighborhood is GORGEOUS! Seriously, a walk off our stoop and you can see Manhattan in all its glory. We have a 500 sq. ft. backyard so Aaron can have a grill too. We’re totally gonna become the Connecticut family....pearls and all.

Should we hire a wedding coordinator?
I tried to make a wedding planning bio, but when Aaron was going to help me, he said it was totally lame....not sure if I am going to do one anymore. (I obviously did one because this is in fact a wedding bio and he has since changed his mind, saying that it is cute and very nice looking.)
We are now looking at the wedding coordinators' accolades. Haven't heard anything back yet.
We found out about candy buffets this week.....I think the candy may end up being too...
We're Gonna Dance All Night Long!
We got the band. Yeah. Now we have to decide if we want to hire Taffy, Kristin, or go without a wedding coordinator!
We talked about invitations the other day and it did not sit well with FI. It stresses us both out. Everything out there is way over the top or crazy. We liked the invites from the Martha Stewart magazine. I think I’ll (We’ll) be making them DIY. Yikes. I think if we do save the dates, we might want to do photo booth pictures. I like the idea of getting a polaroid...
One Year Away
We are a couple days from the year away point. We are both truly enjoying our engagement period. Aaron says that he loves being engaged and now his guy friends are starting to take notes on rings, proposals, etc.
We have-
A florist- The Flower Lady in downtown Paso Robles
A Ceremony Site- My parents' backyard. It has a beautiful view of Paso
A Reception Site- The Paso Robles Inn Ballroom
Caterer- Comes with the site. Expensive, but we've heard that the food is...
Where are we Going to do this?
Looking at September 12th, I think. I like the "Flower Lady" but I need to talk to her. Villa Toscana, San Marcos Ranch, Paso Robles Hot Springs, Paso Robles Inn are all possibilities. Mandarin Gourmet for rehearsal dinner? Or Eagle Castle? Or maybe mom's house?
