Bridal Party Gifts

When it comes to thanking your friends for taking time off from work, for offering to help you tie 300 bows on your favors, buying a $300 dress in peach, and posing for pictures, you want to get them something they'll love and cherish, or something they'll at least use and love!

Maid of Honor gift (my middle sister)

Maid of Honor gift (my middle sister)

a monogrammed compact

lip gloss, and an elasmasaurus necklace that she'd been eyeing

I got her this interesting necklace that was so her, and one that she'd had ooh'ed and aah'ed over for nearly a year. It was way out of her price range, but luckily, I remembered that she wanted it and the artist was selling it for half off the price on the web!

Bridesmaid gift (my baby sister)

Bridesmaid gift (my baby sister)

a monogrammed compact

lip gloss, and an Edward Scissorhands necklace

My baby sister is quite the tomboy, and 6 years my junior. I know that she LOVES Tim Burton movies and so I bought her this really eerie, badass necklace of Edward's hand! She loves it and wears it a lot, which surprised me a little because she doesn't like to wear jewelry! The artist was charging a TON on the web, but luckily, she dropped it down to about $110 for me!

tickets to a Colorado Rockies game, a tiny inital necklace and lip gloss

This bridesmaid is ALL about the Rockies. She'd been to over 6 games when I bought the tickets. My mother insisted that I buy her something that she can keep and so I got her a tiny single initial necklace. She had excellent seats for the game (4th row behind the dugout) and got to see the second to last game before the play offs. I also had it arranged that they win that night!

Bridesmaid gift (best friend from high school)

Bridesmaid gift (best friend from high school)

a monogrammed compact

lip gloss, and two pairs of laser cut dangly earrings

This girl is obsessed with trees. She's a horticulture major and her theme for her wedding was trees, logs, and nature. Her wedding earrings were very similar to the ones I got for her. Since my husband knew the artist, we got a small break, but these earrings really are beautiful pieces of art! She loved them and wore them like crazy.

A pickle of the month club

My Brother-in-Law is OBSESSED with pickles. There's a famous pickle story that the family HAS to tell all new members about! We knew that he would not only love this gift, but that he'd eat it too!

Groomsman gift (husband's friend since grade school)

Halo3: ODST

This groomsman LOVES video games, but is also a good family man. We would not have gotten him a video game if he were one of those guys that ignores everyone in his life to play World of Warcraft. The game had not come out in time for the wedding, so we printed out the receipt and wrapped that up instead. He said that it's a great game.

A custom tailored shirt from said groomsman's favorite store

This groomsman kept raving about "mohan's" the last time he visited us. It's a store where for $80 you can pick out the style and material of your shirt. They put your info in their database and you can always come back, order a new shirt and they'll look up your info. Knowing this, my husband went in, said the groomsman's name, and ordered him a new shirt. He loved it, and it fit PERFECTLY!

Ring Bearer Gift (our nephew)

Ring Bearer Gift (our nephew)

a wood block

and a pair of drumsticks

Our nephew LOVES to pretend to be his uncle (my husband). He's a drummer and our ring bearer can keep a beat, or so I've been told. I was very wary on getting him this gift because if I were his mom, I'd be thinking about tearing off the giver's face. I don't like noise. But the RB loved his "sticks" and plays with them all the time, mostly on the couch.

gift card to Amazon and itunes

Let's face it. Some people are difficult to buy for. For this particular gm, he loves music. We looked on every ticket sales website for good concerts in his area for after the wedding, and we didn't see anything that he would love. Therefore, we got him money towards music that we knew he would listen to all the time. Sometimes, gift cards are the way to go!

Reader Gift (bride's best friend in New York City)

Reader Gift (bride's best friend in New York City)

A $50 gift card to amazon.com

and a pound of See's candy....you can only get it in CA!

Our reader has so many likes and her wishlist on amazon was too vague, so I wanted to give her some freedom to pick out a nice gift for herself. But, this girl DIGS chocolate. And since it was her first trip out to CA, I wanted to give her some delicious CA candy....so I bought her some See's.

a tie that he had been wanting

My sister's boyfriend (hopefully soon to be brother-in-law) was a sweetheart and would listen to me bitch and moan over a year about the wedding. When my mom threw a hissy fit about me not wanting a guest book attendant and program hander outer, he calmed her down. He also stepped in and was in charge of our sound during the ceremony.

A Dressy Kenneth Cole watch

We were super nervous about this gift. We thought the watch was kick ass, but we had no idea if my cousin even needed a watch. The face of the watch showed all the working gears. It was a nice, expensive Kenneth Cole model and he loved it. He wore it right away, and to my knowledge he hasn't taken it off since the wedding.

Flower Girl gifts (my two cousins)

Flower Girl gifts (my two cousins)

a butterfly charm bracelet

and a small string of pearls

My flower girls were 4 and 7. At that age, I was all into flowers, butterflies, makeup, etc. I went to Claire's because they carry everything that was appropriate for their age range. I got them the same thing (I know that you don't have to) because I didn't want anyone getting jealous. I got them both little pearl necklaces which they chose(or their parents did at least) to wear at the wedding and they loved their little charm bracelets.
