Adam & Johanna

Another great day in Mission Mobilization.  Most of my day was spent working on our projects.  We have been divided into teams by country, I (Jo) am on team Myanmar and Adam is on Saudi Arabia.  We are doing 15 minute presentations about the country including costumes, displays, food and prayer points for the country.  Myanmar is mostly Buddhist and Christians are heavily persecuted.  The cyclone has allowed people into the country and God is really working that way.  A quote from a Buddhist person said about the aid that is coming in, “Buddha might be sleeping, for he is doing nothing, but Christians are everywhere, sharing from whatever they have.”  For tonight’s culture meal, we ate “Chinese food,” even though it didn’t taste like Chinese, but all of the other food we eat here except we had to use chopsticks.  We had fun anyway.

Please pray for Myanmar—that the missionaries and volunteers would have strength and that the love of Jesus would flow from them.

Verse of the day:  Psalm 9:9-10 “The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.  Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.

sounds like you guys are having quite and adventure and so much exposure! I think it's awesome that they're giving you such a wide range of experiences! You're both definitely in my prayers and I hope that you're feeling more and home there...
