Tonight we concluded our week with a prayer through the nations. As we mentioned earlier, we have been working all week on our presentations and I think that Jo and my group were probably the best two. It was a powerful evening and we both will probably always look differently at Mynamar and Saudi Arabia. We both walked away from this week wanting to commit to hosting a World Prayer evening. Our hopes is that it will be a monthly event where we can have cultural meals and share about missions around the world. It would definitely keep us accountable and keep our hearts aligned with missions. Feel free to host one yourself if you would like or join us when we get home. Voice of the Martyrs is a great resource for the persecuted church. You can also sign up for weekly news bytes from OM. (Just send subscribe (subject) to newsbytes-subscribe@yahoogroups.com).
Please pray for Saudi Arabia. It is the heartland of Islam and they are sending out huge missionary efforts from there. There is also hope for the gospel to spread through radio and television, as their economy is becoming more global.
Verse of the day: Psalm 67: 3-4 “May the peoples praise you, O God; may all the peoples praise you. May the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you rule the peoples justly and guide the nations of the earth.”
