Today we celebrated the 21st anniversary of the training team. That means that 42 teams like ours have gone through a 6-month training program. There were 230 people in total, many former trainees, who came out for the celebration. Johanna and I were the headwaiters. It was a nice job, because we got to tell the tables when they could go to the buffet line. The food was great, though many of us did not feel quite as well the next day. The evening resembled a wedding reception, with various speakers and stories. It was cool to hear the beginnings of a vision and how new ideas and plans have been implemented along the way.
Cultural verse of the day: Leviticus 20:22-24 “Keep all my decrees and laws and follow them, so that the land where I am bringing you to live may not vomit you out. You must not live according to the customs of the nations…”I am the Lord your God, who has set you apart from the nations.”
Praise God for his grace in establishing a consistent training program that has sent out many missionaries into the world.
