Jesus had compassion on the harassed and helpless. Who are the harassed and helpless in our world? Who are the sheep without a shepherd? We feel that place is Africa. For Johanna and myself, our hearts have resonated with the needs of Africans: from HIV/Aids to severe poverty to millions of orphans to false teachings and a lack of understanding concerning God and his Word. Our desire is to try and alleviate some of these needs through the love of God. The hope for our one year is to display Christ’s love to those in need and to more clearly understand his call on our lives and our ministry to others.
