First Meeting + Relationship Overview

I remember the first time Beth and I met. It was Fall '07 at LeTourneau University and I was just starting to gather some friends. Anyways, I was playing frisbee with my roommate and some assorted strangers. We were throwing the frisbee over a rather wide gully. As fate would have it... Beth and one of her friends, Leah, walked by. They stopped to throw the frisbee a few times (Beth threw it once). Her throw was absolutely terrible. It landed in the middle of the gully and I was forced to run down my hill in order to pick it up. They left shortly after that throw. I remember thinking something like, "I think she is interesting." Well, one thing led to another, and before I knew it we were a whole month into the relationship. I was telling her father that I was madly in love with her, and I was laying subtle (I mean blatant) hints about getting married to Beth. She didn't slap me... soooooo, I bought a ring nearly a year-and-a-half later... There is a simple moral to this story... If you are single, you need to play frisbee...

First Meeting + Relationship Overview

Beth's Perspective

Adam and I first met during the weekend of freshmen orientation. He was known as "Crikey!" to all of his friends, and he talked in a Scottish accent for fun. He and some friends (including Anna Bouchard, whom Leah and I had met the day before), were playing frisbee. Leah and I were returning to the dorm, but we stopped to chat. I was introduced to "Crikey!", and remember thinking that his accent was cool. I tried to throw the frisbee, but I was not any good. "Crikey!" tried to make me feel better by saying: "That's okay, we all mess up sometimes!"
We left shortly after that.
To make a long story short, we started dating after about 2 months, and on August 17, 2009, he asked me to marry him.
