The Rose Well House, an open-air pavilion in the heart of the picturesque Indiana University campus, covers the original well for IU and was a gift from Theodore F. Rose in 1908. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

To us, the Rose Well House is a beautiful place that we happened to go to talk the first time we went out together. We may have been just friends at the time, but we both knew there was something more from that moment on. We are both looking forward to getting married here alongside our closest family & friends (hey--THAT'S YOU!).

If the weather does not decide to cooperate, our backup plan is to hold the ceremony in the same building as our reception, the Neal-Marshall Center. We'll be sure to let our guests know of any location changes day-of, but checking here is a great way to find out as the date draws nearer. In the meantime, anti-rain dances are much appreciated :)

DIRECTIONS:

From Jordan Avenue Garage (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED as this garage is RIGHT next to the reception hall): Exit garage on foot going west and cross Jordan Avenue. The building to your right is the Neal-Marshall Center, where the reception is taking place. Keep going straight following the footpaths through campus. You'll go over a bridge and see Ballantine Hall on your left and Beck Chapel on your right. Keep going, past the Union building and just through the path between Wylie & Owen Hall you'll see the Rose Well house with lots of white chairs in front of it :) You've made it!

From Indiana Avenue (Sample Gates): We recommend walking, as parking is limited on campus. Enter through the Sample Gates. The Rose Well House is just up the footpath toward campus on the right.

From the 45/46 Bypass: Driving is recommended. You may park at the Atwater Garage, across from the School of Law on Indiana Avenue, in any of the on-street parking on Indiana Avenue, Fourth Street, or Kirkwood Avenue, or in the paid lot at the Indiana Memorial Union.

From the bypass, turn right onto Walnut Street. Walnut will take you straight to Seventh Street; take a left. Proceed straight until you see the Indiana Memorial Union. Take a right into the Union and park in that lot. Alternately, you may take Walnut further to Kirkwood Avenue (between Sixth and Fourth Streets) or Fourth Street and park wherever you find a spot.

From the Indiana Memorial Union: Walking is recommended. From the hotel entryway (by the cul-de-sac driveway), proceed toward the parking lot and turn right next to the old cemetary and chapel. Go up the stairs and take a right at the next street. Follow this pathway between the brick buildings on the left and the rear of the Union on the right. You will see the Rose Well House straight ahead.

From Hilton Garden Inn: It is about a 15 minute walk to campus (Sample Gates off Indiana Ave) from the Hilton Garden Inn.

We will be having a small, casual open house at our home in Bloomington the day after the wedding from around 11am until 1pm. There will be some light food & drink, reminiscing & conversation! Whoever among our guests would like to come visit is more than welcome!
