I'm getting uber nervous. I know, we still have about a year; ten months and a week, actually. I just keep reading all these horror stories about terrible vendors and I am TERRIFIED.
Duo and I have basically found the rings we want, methinks. We like them a lot; black titanium with a single diamond. Both are to be inscribed; hers saying 'Duo Loves Allie' and mine saying 'Allie Loves Duo'. The rings are beautiful (you can see pics in the gallery; the flat band for both mine and her new ring ideas), but a little pricey. About $385 per, so around $770 for both.
Also been talking about flower options. We really like the calla lilies, I think. White for me, black for Duo. I would also like to maybe incorporate Edelweiss, but they're hard to find and those I do find are way expensive. *sighs*
I would like to look at caterers, and I found one I like (even serves the type of food Duo would enjoy, I think), but I worry. I don't know if this place will be okay doing a lesbian wedding. So far I've had nothing but smooth sailing, but nothing ever goes that smoothly for too long. I'm worried we'll either be charged far more than the advertised price, or be rudely hung up on, or something. I'll certainly talk to Duo about my fears, and maybe she might be brave enough to call these caterers about getting some information.
I've totaled up what we're looking at spending already, with the hall/church, rings, and this caterer...already almost $2500. We haven't even thought about the gowns, BM gowns, flower prices, photography, entertainment or what it will cost to print all our invites and send them out.
*worrying*

Well since I've scoured Louisville for the best and the lowest prices for my own wedding, I can help out with Vendors. Do you have a Photographer or videographer yet? That's always the best place to spend money, don't do like my first wedding with disposable cameras on tables. You get only a few good photos that way (If people don't just up and steal the cameras for themselves thinking they are party favors). David's bridal on Bardstown road is the CHEAPEST for gowns (Or you can get them made even cheaper. Buy fabric at Baer's in Downtown and then call my dressmaker CHAR, she makes lovely dresses CHEAP. I can help if you need it. I got my invites online cheaply too. I'll give you whatever help/advise you need. ^_^
