Another photographer once asked me, "What is your mission statement?" I found myself struggling to give him an answer that I thought quickly summed up what I do and what I believe. After sitting there for several minutes, I finally gave him this answer:

I believe that the most important thing I can do for any of my couples is to understand them. I want to be more than just another vendor providing a service. I want to be part of their love story. So when I walk into the wedding, I am walking in as a friend, emotionally connected to the day and ready to experience it with them.
