This guy happens to be my brother. He is younger, although he is much taller, possibly setting a new record for the Castellanos/Thomas conglomerate. He is a very unique guy who I am proud to call my brother and my bestest man. Best just simply isn't good enough, so I have to butcher some language to get the point across. He is a funny guy, a smart guy, and a pretty good dancer, and I think he will look really nice in a tux.
Austin is incredibly creative and always has some project going on whether it is building something or learning a new instrument, he always pushes himself to do awesome things. He is one righteous guy.
Megan and I met in the Creswell dorm during our Freshman year of college at UGA! She was this energetic, curly-headed, blonde girl who was tons of fun to be around. Throughout college, we remained very close and she became one of the best friends I have ever had. Megan is a constant source of inspiration and comfort to me. She never ceases to be there for me, calming me down when I am overreacting to something, or just telling me a silly story about her day. Megan is one of the smartest people I have ever known. She is my soulmate friend.
Megan lives out in Colorado now, and it makes me cry. I know that one day, we'll live in the same city again. Until then, we'll have our yearly meet up vacations where I get to remember that no one but her and Jinny could put up with my shenanigans. I love you, Megleena!
Jenny is my beautiful oldest sister. Jenny has known me since the first day I existed. I looked up to Jenny so much when I was growing up, she was so smart and driven. Even though I was seven years younger, Jenny still made time for me and made sure I was ok. There are so many funny stories growing up that I want to share, but I'll save them for the wedding. Just a little inside joke - DET - Don't ever tell!!!
She lives in England with her gorgeous family, Chris and Emily. She is currently pregnant with her second child, who will be making his or her debut about six months before the wedding. I look at the family she has with Chris and the way she carries herself, and I hope that one day I will be as amazing as she is. I love you Jelly Bean!
Oh Karen, what to say about Karen? She is my gorgeous older sister who lives in New York with her boyfriend Wessy Poo! She has got to be one of the most caring people I have ever known. She's the kind of person that will worry herself senseless about you because she cares that much. Growing up, Karen was the social butterfly, she was the one that had tons of friends and tons to do. Karen blossomed into this smart, kind person that I am privileged to know.
She might have thought I was annoying growing up, but I am happy to say that we have become close friends as well as sisters. I count myself blessed to have her in my life. I love you, Loola!
Jinny is awesome! She and I also met when we were in Creswell dorm in our freshman year of college. Jinny, Megan, and I all lived on the same hall. Jinny is the cutest little thing I have ever met. She is one of those people who is constantly laughing and is always a good time. Jinny has such a big heart and will really listen to you when you need advice. Jinny has transformed from the crazy party girl from freshman year into this wise and ambitious person and I am so proud of her. I can honestly say that I would be lost without her in my life. Jinny, Megan, and I make it a point to go on a vacation together every year. I look forward to knowing you when you're old, still hairless, and wrinkly.
Jinny, you rock my world, and if you asked I'd go out with you on Mardi Gras (even though I'm against a holiday that celebrates you know what).
I love you, Jinny!
Emily is my niece, daughter of lovely Jenny, and she is about two years old now. She is this stunning little cute sweetness of a thing that I just adore. She is probably the smartest and most beautiful little girl in the entire world! Emily likes to dance and have tea parties and hang out with her Mummy and Daddy.
Emily can count and knows colors and is generally just the apple of everyone's eye. Emily lives in England and I don't get to see her as much as I want. I am so excited to see her in a little flower girl outfit at our wedding. I love you, little Emily!
Mum is my Mum and what a grand mum she is!!! It is so hard to write about the person who has been the greatest rock in your life for your entire history. She is the single most important influence on my life. Mum has been this incredible source of love, energy, and support to me. She helped me establish an identity and saw me through the troubles that life brought as well as the joys. I would not be here, I would not be me, and I would not have this life if not for her. Mum has my unending gratitude for just being her; because, not only do I love and respect her as a mother, but I also love and respect her for the individual she is.
Saying thank you is only a small drop in the bucket, but hey, drops add up - so thanks Mum, for being you. I love you, Mommy!
Me and Scrad have been making music together since we were about 15 or 16 after we met at a Taco Bell. He is a very thoughtful gentleman who is always enlightening me with some good words to make sense of things. We will be working on some instrumentals together for the wedding itself, which means a great deal to me. We have had great adventures and found our way through some crazy back roads in our time. Good times indeed!
To start off, Luke's dad looks like John Wayne. That is how you know he is a cool guy. He has one of the most bizarre skill sets out of all my friends. He is currently cheering at Shorter College while studying to be a doctor. He can also break bones with a single finger. He has a rockin' set of vocals and is great with kids. If you want he'll give your house some fancy new insulation. What incredible skills! Geez...so anyways, me and Luke met in high school and have been hanging out ever since. He always has some good advice for my creative projects and he makes sure that I don't get lazy with that stuff. Fish and chips is always the answer!
Ryan's blurb will arrive when Alex has time to write it - (From Grace)
Ah, the Story of David Hale...This young man has given the world a run for it's money, trekking the globe as an artist, a vocalist, a madman on the skateboard, a tattoo artist, sandwich delivery master, ping pong champion of Iowa, husband, and soon to be father. David and I have spent many days and nights quietly singing along to chill tunes while we draw frantically, and this has had a HUGE impact on the art I create and the way I see the world.
David has always been there to help me out when I get in a rut, creative or otherwise, and always pushes me to keep my creative endeavors alive and kicking. He and his wife Emily are some of our dearest friends, and they keep us growing and expanding our horizons. If you need a good story at the wedding, this is the couple to ask. Mullet camp for life, brodels.
Kristin is probably one of the coolest girls that I have ever had the fortune of meeting. Alex and I have both known Kristin since freshman year of college. Kristin lived in the dorms with both of us. Alex and Kristin met at Orientation and became friends instantly. They have remained the closest of friends since then! Kristin and I started hanging out in earnest when Alex and I began dating and have developed an incredible friendship of our own.
She is easygoing, sharp as a tack (thanks, Cake!), and a total joy to be around. Kristin lives out in Boulder which is really sad for us but awesome for her. I am so happy that she agreed to be a bridesmaid and deal with all the girlie stuff that comes with it :)
