
The Museum of Civilization is Canada's national museum of social and human history. It features and Children's Museum and an IMAX theatre. You won't get an opportunity to see the museum at the ceremony or the reception, so we recommend that you take the time to check it out while you are in Ottawa.

From its founding in 1880 the National Gallery of Canada has grown to become the largest visual arts museum in the country.
Gatineau Park is a wedge of land measuring 361 square kilometres to the northwest of Canada’s Capital Region. In the Park, the National Capital Commission protects plants and animals and manages facilities and trails so that the public may enjoy outdoor activities in every season. Guided tours of Centre Block (House of Commons and Senate Chambers) are free of charge, but the number of tour tickets for each day is limited. Best to check the website or call the day you wish to visit. While you are there we recommend you go up the Peace Tower - you get a gorgeous view of Ottawa.
