In Quebec, the street lights are hung sideways. You can still see the red, amber, green, but they are horizontal rather than vertical.

Signage is in French, so street signs will say "rue Laurier" not "Laurier Street".

Everyone that works at the hotels will be bilingual - unless you would like to, there is no need to dust off the Becherelles and practice your highschool French.
