In 1999, Matt was living in Ottawa, working for JDS, and playing ultimate frizbee with some "Mad Maritimers". Alix was working in Ottawa as a co-op and was invited to join Matt's team. On her first night out Alix threw the frisbee right at Matt's face - and hard. How romantic!

The following year, Alix moved to Ottawa after being hired to work for the federal public service, and the rest, as they say, is history.
