-A favorite memory of Malia:
One of our favorite memories of Mia was also a “servanthood” memory…for your 18th birthday she wanted to do something really special. She called dad and I and asked if she could throw you a “super hero” birthday party, complete with decorations all over the house and a large spider man Jump house! She arrived with her girlfriends about 3 hours before you were coming home, and she organized and decorated and basically made a wonderful memory for you and for all of us! It was a gift not only to you, but to the whole family! (We still have the Ninja Turtle pictures to prove it!)
A memory that is not as “flashy” is the text message I got from her on Mother’s Day…maybe even a couple of years ago, before this was all “official”! It made me feel so special to be remembered by her!
-A favorite memory of Andrew:
When you were a little boy, Andrew, you always loved your blankie, which was actually just a cloth diaper, (clean of course!) When you started to crawl, it was too inconvenient for you to have it in your hand, so you would put it in your mouth and crawl around with it! It was very cute!
Another memory, (if you want an older one), was when Jeff was in 8th grade and your were a sophomore, and Jeff needed help with Algebra. You would sit together on your big bed, under the covers and do homework together and you would help him out. I’ll tell you, it brought tears to my eyes to see the way you loved and served him. You made your mama’s heart proud!! (I’ve told you this before!)
