This page presents some of Andrew & Sharmaine's thoughts on marriage and their views about each other.
I view marriage as a sacred union that requires a life-time commitment. I used to fear commitment as I saw too many relationships around me that failed and had also my fair share of hurts. However, after being in church, I saw many good and healthy examples of marriages that caused me to be hopeful towards love, commitment and marriage. Now as I am entering into marriage, I'm looking forward to the next stage of life where I will not just be living for myself, but for my family.
Marriage to me, is an extension of God's covenant. His covenant with me enables me to keep a covenant with another person. I can love another person because of God's love. Marriage is a life-long companionship, it enables me to share my life with another individual to fulfill God's vision and plans together.
I like that fact that Sharmaine is non-pretentious and has a kind heart. What helped me to know that she was the one for me was how we were able to resolve our differences and conflicts. Whenever I had done "wrong", she never fails to forgive me and love me. There's this connection that we share between us that cannot be explained. Other qualities that I like about her is that she is a lady of virtue and of cos, she's beautiful! I know I am so blessed to have found her!
Andrew is caring, thoughtful and romantic. And I like that he is also spiritually matured. I also admire him for his compassionate and loving qualities. I believe he is my other half because he accepts me for who I am. And there's this natural and mutual connection between us.
