Marik enters and sees two beautiful black eyes, and says to the girl:
"Hola, hablas Espanol?"
"Si, yo hablo..."
Marik and Anita met through a mutual friend, Svetlana Friedland, in San Francisco. Anita and Svetlana were in town visiting Alonchik. Marik and Anita lock eyes...
Marik, just back from his trip to Sud America, impressed Anita with his Spanish. They carry on an entire conversation in Spanish! Anita says, "Btw, I'm Indian," and Marik says, "Btw, I'm Latvian!"
The First Date

Marik and Anita had their first date in Half Moon Bay. Marik surprised Anita with a picnic on the beach, then drove to the city for a party. Check out the long hair!!
Our Travels
Marik and Anita love to travel and in total have visited nearly 50 countries! From the winter Olympics in Vancouver (does Canada count?) to the World Cup in South Africa, they can't wait to see the world together...
Our Family

Starting this October, Marik and Anita will build a new family together. They are blessed to be surrounded by 2 sets of loving parents, siblings, etc. Marik's family is from Riga, Latvia and Anita's from Orissa, India.
