Here are the lovely members of our wedding party. We love you and and hope you enjoy :].
I have known Laura for seven years, and she has always been a wonderful friend. She was the very first person I told about the upcoming nuptials, and her support and friendship made picking her as my best man... erm, person, a no-brainer.
He's my brother. What more do I need to say? He's always loved and supported me in the way only family can, and will be coming all the way from Oklahoma to see his little brother tie the knot. He's the best brother any kid could hope for, and it means the world to see him coming out to the coast for the wedding.
Zatch is my oldest friend, in both senses of the word old. He has known me as long as I have been in Oregon, and we practically lived together a few summers. Though he goes to Southern now, he is still one of my very best friends, and I'm very excited to have him in the party.
Chris and I hated each other when we first met. I specifically remember an incident involving throwing milk. Or something like that. All that aside, I love the guy and couldn't be happier to have him in my party. He's the guy that keeps me sane when life gets too hectic, and keeps bringing out the geek in me.
Alex and I have been friends since middle school. Actually, scratch that, we became friends after middle school when he stopped relentlessly picking on me :]. We've been through so much together and throughout the years, I have come to love him like my own brother. When sitting down and thinking about the wedding, there was never any question in my mind of who I wanted to be standing right there with me, holding my bouquet and helping me with my special day. Alex, thank you for subverting the dominant paradigm and taking on the role of my "Best Lady". I love love love love you. And no, you may not wear a hot pink dress.
We were "diva's in diapers" together. What more do I have to say? This lady has been there for me through it all, from birth forward. Through all of the hard times and all of the times that made us laugh so hard we almost peed our pants, Lindsey and I have gone strong. We've been friends for 17 years now and I cannot wait for more to come. Plus, who could dream of a more beautiful best lady?
Marisa and I have been friends since high school speech and debate. After all the good times whispering in the back of class and ignoring everything Trudy said, a friendship has grown that I feel fortunate to have. And not to worry, Marisa you won't have to wear an "ugly hair flower" at the wedding ;].
The lovely Ms. Alex Johnson was my first friend out at Forest Grove High school. She noticed my Andrew McMahon picture in math class and instantly, we fell in love with one another. Since then, her positivity and her unwavering honesty have helped me through the hardest of times. We have the kind of relationship that can only come from complete trust. The kind where you can not see each other for months and then just pick everything up where you left off the moment you reunite.
Kaela would have to be the craziest and most beautiful lady I know. Her creativity and passion for life never fails to astound me, and her compassion for those she loves makes me proud to have her as a friend. Plus, she has a knack for hair/make up and I cannot wait to see the artwork she makes with my face.
What can I say about my artsy, clove smoking, stumptown loving bestie? This is the girl who helped me realize how to express myself. From art class freshman year, to vans shoes, inside jokes and shopping trips, my admiration of Dora has only grown. She's out there making the world a better place and touching the lives of everyone she meets. Plus, she's just plain awesome and I love her for it.
