Q: We live out of state! How do we get to Harrisonburg?
A1. Drive: Message for directions, or Google: Harrisonburg, 22081. We are right off of Interstate 81; about 7 hours from New York City, Western North Carolina and not too far from anyplace else.
A2. Train: AMTRACK can deliver you to Staunton VA, and if you let us know when you will arrive we can arrange for pickup and carpools for the events!
Q: But I simply don't have a THING to Wear! Whatever shall I wear??
All depends on what you want to do while here- Magda's Yoga Class? (see wedding events) but for the *actual* wedding- bring your fancies- This wedding has a fancy feel with some retro- rock and roll- yet come as you are flair. Just put your best foot forward and come out and celebrate. (Although I will admit that I have this vision where everyone wears the most creative-semi-formal they can find complete with hats. I'll get over it. ~Annie)
If you are staying the weekend and want to take in the sights- make your plans and pack you plan on hiking gear for Shenandoah National park and the local caverns come prepared. If you are planning on good food and drink, pack you chubby pants. There is more than enough going on to cause you to over pack.
Q: I don't drive- Does Harrisonburg have public transport?
A: Not to worry. All of the hotels are within 2 miles of Downtown where the action will be happening. There is 24 hour taxi service and better yet a huge network of local friends available for transportation to all of the activities on the 'Wedding Events' link.
