Fast forward two years full of adventure, wonder, and lots of Frisbee with Yampa, and we decided to make our relationship "official." Chris waited until the perfect time: a trip to the Lake of the Ozarks, where Annie spent many joyous days a child and one of her favorite places in the world. At the crack of dawn on July 18, 2009 Chris tied the ring onto Yampa's favorite toy and threw it into the lake from the dock (don't worry, it was a dummy ring he acquired on the internet!). Yampa brought the toy back up the dock to Annie, and before she knew what was going on he was down on his knee. Chris presented Annie with a second ring, which in fact would only be temporary until we picked out the actual engagement ring together (thus completing the three ring circus!).
