A Beautiful Traditional Wedding by Holli B. Photography

Happy Tuesday!  If you are anything like me it seems like lately Tuesday has become the new Wednesday and you could use a little “happy” right now.  This wedding by Holli B. Photography is gor-gor-gorgeous.  It proves that traditional and elegant never go out of style. Enjoy!

Did your wedding location hold a specific significance to you?

Yes, I grew up going to Westminster Presbyterian Church. As a child I dreamed about getting married in the beautiful sanctuary. My friends and I would wander into the bridal room and dream about what it would be like to be a bride getting ready for her wedding. This was my dream church!

What was the most meaningful part of your day?

The most meaningful part of our wedding day was us two individuals becoming united as one. We invited our all of our friends and family to join us in taking communion, as our brothers lead us in worship. Jesus said to do this in remembrance of Him. We loved getting to take a moment during our ceremony to give thanks to Jesus Christ for dying on the cross for our sins, and for making us new creations. Josh and I got to watch as all of our loved ones came forward to be served, and then we too took communion together as husband and wife. Denomination didn’t matter, our friends and family came forward as the church to honor our Heavenly King!

Did anything funny or out of the ordinary happen?

After Josh and I had our first look and pictures taken, Josh was waiting for the ceremony to begin. As he went to put his tuxedo jacket back on, the top button popped right off. He immediately traded jackets with an usher, and then he was good to go.

Tell us details of the events surrounding the wedding.

Josh and I both have amazing friends who put together bachelor and bachelorette parties. Our friends surrounded us with fun, encouragement, and support before we officially tied the knot! My two lovely aunts hosted a bridal luncheon to honor me and my bridesmaids. I absolutely loved being in a room with all of the most important women in my life. The night before the wedding Josh and I had the ceremony rehearsal followed by the rehearsal dinner. I had a wonderful friend who put together the best video to showcase our life together. Josh’s mom made a huge delicious breakfast for all of the men in the wedding party, along with family.

How did you know your partner was “the one”?

Josh and I both knew what we were looking for in a husband or wife. As we started dating we found all of the qualities we wanted and then more we never knew we wanted! The Lord made it very clear to us both that this was our destiny!

Any advice you’d give new brides who are just getting started?

I would suggest to any bride to enjoy every part of the process. Find vendors that you trust and love, because they are the people who make your vision come alive. I would recommend having a first look before the ceremony and getting all of the pictures finished before anything starts.A wedding should be a life giving experience, and honestly if it’s not, then it’s not worth doing. Please know that on that big day everything might not be completely perfect, something might go wrong, but at the end of the day, as long as you are married to the love of your life, nothing else matters.
