Designer Dialogue: Justin Alexander Designer Tony Mentel

We are so excited to share the rare opportunity to speak directly with the designers who create the beautiful gowns we look at every day! Tony Mentel is the head designer for the exquisite Justin Alexander collections and he was kind enough to let us into his world. We hope you enjoy!

His sketches are from a recent trip Tony took to London where he visited the Victoria and Albert Museum for inspiration for his upcoming collections. Speaking of collections, let’s take a look at some of the stunning Justin Alexander gowns…

This circular cut ball gown has a beaded sweetheart neckline and is accented by a silk metallic beaded belt at the natural waistline. Satin and beaded buttons cover the zipper and extends to the end of the chapel length train.

This mermaid style sweetheart neckline is re-embroidered in alencon lace and draped in tulle. The gown has a chapel length train and tulle buttons that cover the back zipper.

This all over lace re-embroidered Alecon fit and flare gown features three quarter length sleeves. The V-neckline is complemented by a beaded empire trim. Satin buttons enclose the illusion lace back neckline and continue to the edge of the chapel length train.

Thank you so much for sharing, Tony! We can’t wait to see what you have in store at the upcoming bridal fashion shows!
