Destination Wedding: St. Lucia

In the shadow of the Pitons, imagine your loved ones gathering barefoot on the brilliant white sand, because a destination wedding in St. Lucia is the quintessential locale for beach wedding bliss. Not only does St. Lucia’s golden coast boast jewel-toned waters and world-class accommodations, it is relatively easy to wed here and breathtaking to boot. With several all-inclusive (and award-winning) resorts to choose from, St. Lucia is the east Caribbean’s most prized wedding destination, and for good reason.

St. Lucia Itinerary Insight

Much like many other islands in the Caribbean, St. Lucia has a wealth of things to do. From deep-sea diving to Jeep tours, sailing and sunbathing, you literally can choose any one of your favorite vacation past-times and they will have it. However, if you want to plan excursions for your guests to enjoy, it’s best to choose a couple of different ones that can appeal to different types of travelers. Since it can be inconvenient when guests arrive to have to plan their own outings, this extra step will make it even easier for you to enjoy time together.

Best Ways to Entertain Guests in St. Lucia

For the Sporty Crew: Instead of having to pack up your entire wedding party and head out to hunt down the best beaches on the island, why not stay put? While the beaches in St. Lucia are easily accessible and have some of the most breathtaking ocean views in the world, your hotel may provide all of the entertainment and views your group needs. To make your resort’s beach even more private, create a bocce ball or volleyball tournament by the pool or beach with your guests. Ask the concierge if you can plan a private game hour for your destination wedding guests. In most cases, they are happy to oblige.

For the Adrenaline Junkies: Perhaps you have a lot of adventure-seeking types on your DW guest list. If that is the case, St. Lucia will definitely live up to their expectations. Be sure you plan one day to visit The Treetop Canopy Adventure. Complete with soaring ziplines, this top rated excursion spot is worth the $65 per person. For a less intense but equally adventurous outing, take a day to kayak in Marigot Bay searching for secret snorkel spots.
