In the midst of the hubbub over food, sometimes special holiday wedding drinks get overlooked. Alcoholic beverages are a mainstay at many American tables during the holidays from brandy and scotch to fancy mixed drinks and cocktails. Show your guests it’s all in the details by serving some clever holiday-themed favorites at your wedding. The lighter fare is best early in the evening, while the heaver, creamier drinks are best served with dessert. Here are some of my favorites mainstays at my family’s table.

3 ounces of organic champagne
1½ ounces of organic vodka

Pumpkin Pie Martini
It doesn’t get more autumnal than pumpkin pie. This creative drink uses real pumpkin pulp for a savory and familiar holiday flavor with a kick.
2 ounces organic vanilla vodka
2 ounces white creme de cacao
1/4 cup organic (and local, if possible) heavy cream
1.5 tablespoons of organic pumpkin puree (or pie mix)
1 dash of ground nutmeg (for garnish)
Powdered organic graham cracker (for the rim)
The Butterscotch Coffee Pick-Me-Up
Feeling a little tired after a big holiday dinner? Add some spring to your step with a hot, sweet, coffee drink that’s sure to please your palate. Keep these eco-friendly with some fair trade, organic coffee and some Bloom Mountain Organic Irish Cream.
1 ounce butterscotch schnapps
1 ounce Bloom Mountain organic Irish cream
6 ounces fair trade organic coffee (Deans Beans is a personal favorite)
A dollop of freshly whipped organic heavy cream (again, local is best)
A sprinkle of nutmeg
