How to Plan Your San Antonio Wedding

There’s just something about a Texas wedding. Between the open fields and ranch-style venues, and the historic, modern, and downright beautiful options in its major cities, the Lone Star State has it going on. Which means, San Antonio, that we’re talking about you. And, because the options in this Southwestern city seem to be nearly endless, we’d like to help narrow down the choices a bit – or at least help get some San Antonio wedding planning started with a little bit of local inspiration. So, without further ado, just a few of our favorite San Antonio wedding locations, San Antonio photographers…and a really wonderful place to find cupcakes.

San Antonio Wedding Venues

Red Corral Ranch. Located in the heart of Texas hill country (and just about halfway between Austin and San Antonio, making it a prime venue for planners in either city), this venue is Southwestern charm to a T. From the ancient oak trees on the property to the beautiful, reception-ready Big Red Barn, this setting is a dreamy backdrop for any wedding. The rolling hills and pockets of wildflowers are just one of the many perks associated with its numerous ceremony and receptions sites.

Wedding Photography in the Alamo City

Good wedding photography in San Antonio is not hard to find. However, as promised, we’re focusing in on just one studio to really help you kick-start your planning – Bend The Light Photography. San Antonio based, and comprised of a three-photographer, all-female team, Bend the Light is a perfect blend of professionalism, talent, and creativity.

For the Sweet Tooth

As promised, something sweet to finish off our time together in San Antonio. The owner of Saweet Cupcakes doesn’t like the term “gourmet” – but that’s exactly the way want describe these treats. Classic flavors and delicious combinations are this bakery’s trademark, and as a mobile “cupcakery” the shop provides pickup and delivery for celebrations of any size.
