I think that an elegant Palm Beach wedding is just what we all need to conclude our week! Lyndsey and Jesse’s wedding is full of traditional elements and details. It’s so romantic! Like Lyndsey, I am a huge fan of peonies and they seem to be everywhere here! Thank you so much to Vitalic Photo for sharing yet another gem with us!

What was your vision?

Our vision for the day was definitely traditional meets modern. I wanted to incorporate the most important traditions for a wedding day, while adding our own modern touches. Our color scheme was ivory, white, champagne and a very light orange. For the bouquets I knew I wanted a lot of white and our love of orchids, peonies and calla lilies was brought to life by our amazing florist.

I really wanted peonies in my bouquet, they have always been a favorite flower of mine. When I mentioned it to my florist, she explained to me that during January they are hard to get, so I settled for white roses. But, on my wedding day she surprised me with peonies in my bouquet! She also incorporated the pearl rosary my grandmother gave me at my bridal shower in such a beautiful way.

Our centerpieces were mostly white hydrangea with some orchids and orange roses incorporated, with champagne colored linens which went amazing with the colors of the room. Our favors were Fran’s Chocolates which is also one of my husband’s favorite things, wrapped in orange ribbon to match the decor. The overall wedding had 75 guests who traveled from all over the country to be with us, so I wanted to make sure they felt extra special and appreciated, so my husband and I put together guest bags for each guest that checked into the hotel. In the bag was an information pamphlet that included a lot of different things to do in the area and also specific times and locations for the events throughout the weekend.
What was the most meaningful part of your day?

Not having seen each other since the night before and then the moment I was walked down the aisle by my father and finally getting to see each other. It was so perfect!
Tell us details of the events surrounding the wedding.

We had an amazing rehearsal dinner! We also had a farewell brunch the day after the wedding, which was the perfect way to end such an amazing weekend. I advise all brides to do a farewell brunch if it is in their budget… it makes for a less abrupt ending to the wedding and you get to talk to people you didn’t get a chance to the night before.

Any advice you’d give new brides who are just getting started?

Don’t get set in a certain color scheme or theme. As you start to plan, you will find things you may like better, and want to change your original vision. Oh, and definitely wear waterproof mascara!
