Our Favorite Registry Items

You’ve registered for the basics – you think. But your registry is looking pretty blah, pretty ecru, pretty nothing like you at all. Here are a few of our favorite registry items that you can use to spice up your registry and give it a more personal touch.

Bloomingdale’s has a ton of terrific registry items ranging from the demurely classic to crazy, bold modernism. Personally, I like their classic serving items best, such as this gorgeous crystal pitcher (what a stunner!) and this handy, but sweet, trivet.

If you want to build up your kitchen, go beyond just a stand mixer and try to invest in products such as high-quality knives, glass nesting bowls that make baking prep a breeze (trust me, these will absolutely save your sanity during holiday seasons), and the most inclusive set of kitchen tools I’ve ever seen.

Just because something is a classic item, doesn’t mean it has to be dull. Even dishes and towels can be interesting! Break away from white china and incorporate some polka dotted whimsy with Kate Spade’s Larabee Road dinnerware. And if you are going to put towels on your list, make sure they are the comfy-coziest out there.

Make sure you bring in what you love to your registry. Do chirping birds mean a good morning? Register for this chic and modern birdhouse. Have a case of wanderlust that just can’t be contained? Throw the perfect carry-on luggage onto your list. Love to DIY? Take credit for all of your baking and crafty projects with a personalized embosser for tags and bags.

When it comes to making your list, what you are really doing is building a home. Find deor items that fit your new couple style. I love these modern house numbers. So cool! And this cabana-style shower curtain is just about the only thing that can cheer me up before my coffee.

Sure, you can fill your registry with a million practical things, but what is the fun in that? Register for gifts that not only save you the expense of needing to purchase them on your own, but also bring more personality into your new home!
