Planning a Wedding in Tampa

Whether you’re planning a large wedding reception in Tampa or an intimate gathering, a rustic affair or something lavish, luxurious, and oh-so elegant, one thing is common among almost all weddings: you and your fiancé are going to be making a lot of decisions. But don’t let that scare you away – no matter the size, shape, or theme, wedding day decisions are nearly always the prettiest kind. Plus, cake tasting. Need we say more? On that note, here are a few of our favorite sources of sweets (and savories) for your Tampa wedding.

Wedding Catering in Tampa

We’ll start with the main course, like the responsible adults we are. From tasty dinner buffets to plated meals – and the optional hors d’oeuvres beforehand – Tampa’s area caterers have you covered. Catering by the Family is a company grown from the fruits of a family-owned sandwich shop. Since the shop’s opening in 1976, the company has grown into a wedding and event catering business that seeks to offer the best food and the best service at the best price. Southern Gourmet Catering is another area caterer providing one of a kind service to couples throughout the central Florida region. Menus range from casual to formal, with an emphasis on traditional Southern fare, and are customizable to fit a variety of budgets and personal preferences.

Wedding Cakes in Tampa

Although we won’t entirely limit our conversation to Tampa wedding cakes, we would like to acknowledge that particular dessert table tradition. Sweet Tweets Cakery specializes in just that – custom wedding cake design. While cupcakes are also available at this bakery, it’s the beautiful cakes that catch our eye, particularly when we start daydreaming about flavors, tastings, and the cutting ceremony itself. Meanwhile, Sugar Entice & Everything Nice is owned by a baker whose only limits are her imagination. Cookies, cupcakes, and a variety of confections are the result, although cake is also among the offerings.
