Planning an Illinois Wedding

Planning a wedding takes a village. From your family members and wedding party to the numerous vendors you’ll enlist to help you make your special day exactly what you’ve dreamed it should be, the amount of people who will ultimately be involved is generally pretty impressive. Of course, there are exceptions, and we tip our hats to the DIY brides out there who really can do it all themselves. But today, in light of the general rule, we’ve got a few of our favorite Illinois vendors right here to help you start filling up that village.

Illinois Wedding Venues

Located in Springfield, just minutes away from the state capitol, the Pasfield House Inn is an Illinois wedding location worth looking into. The Georgian-style residence was built in 1896 and has been carefully preserved to maintain its character. Ideal for smaller gatherings, outdoor ceremonies and indoor receptions here are charming and intimate with menus to match.

Illinois Wedding Catering

Station Two Twenty, a Bloomington restaurant that seamlessly blends sustainable farming with fine dining in the form of globally inspired Midwestern cuisine, is possibly the perfect place to feed your favorite people on one of the most important days of your life. Doubling as an Illinois reception venue – and an excellent rehearsal dinner site – this restaurant is Central Illinois’ only farm-to-fork restaurant, and it’s practically impossible not to get excited about the menu.

Illinois Wedding Photography

Kate Miller, of Kate Miller Photography, loves her job. And you can see it in every photo she takes. A photojournalistic, vintage-inspired wedding photographer, Kate works alongside her husband with a non-traditional approach to wedding photography that involves encouraging couples to smile, laugh, and be themselves in every moment of their wedding day. The images that follow are simply breathtaking.

P.S. Don’t forget to use the best planning tools around – our wedding websites are perfect for communicating with your guests and sharing the details of your wedding day and registry.
