Seattle Travel Agenda For Out Of Town Guests

It happened: he bent a knee, you said yes and now you are packing your bag and heading to Seattle – along with your veil, your wedding dress and one hundred wedding guests! While we know that your trip’s magnum opus is the big event itself, there’s no reason that the adventure needs to be spent sitting in hotel rooms waiting for the band. So, for you, your guests and your groom, we’ve collected a few very special travel tips and some local entertainment advice. Because, when in Seattle, eat well, walk much and skip the umbrella – but never forget your waterproof jacket. And back to sitting in that hotel room? Don’t.

Adventure is Out There

Are parks your cup of tea? Pack a picnic and wander through Kerry Park, a city favorite with an amazing skyline view. Or better yet, beat the crowds in Fremont Peak Park which knows a thing or two about distant mountains on clear days. And how about quality time with the coffee bean? The original Starbucks can be found in Seattle, along with dozens of local shops and several transplants. Then there’s the Pike Place Market, one of the oldest daily farmers’ markets in the United States. At nine acres and more than 200 independent shops, we’re certain that you’ll find something you like. A spin in an enclosed gondola on the Seattle Great Wheel or a ride to the top of the iconic Space Needle are also ready and waiting for you.

P.S. Don’t forget to use the best planning tools around – our wedding websites are perfect for communicating with your guests and sharing the details of your wedding day and registry.
