Should You Send Save-the-Dates?

Save-the-dates are an excellent way to give your guests advance notice of your wedding date. For people who will have to travel, this allows them to have time to plan their flights and accommodations. During the summer, when many vacations and weddings are scheduled, the earlier you can get on your guests’ calendars, the more likely they are to be able to attend. While not everyone invited to the wedding needs to have received a save-the-date, everyone who receives a save-the-date must be invited to the wedding. Also, save-the dates only serve the purpose of giving advance notice, not in replacing the actual wedding invitation.
