We love Brooklyn Bride’s blog around here (and are so happy to be featuring free, modern wedding websites from her!); last week when I was poking around her site I happened upon these bow ties from Pierrepont Hicks and, holy cow, had to make sure that no one missed out on seeing them. How rockin’ are they?
And these are not any bow ties. Produced by master craftsmen in New York who practice traditional tie patterns, it can take up to sixteen steps to create one of them. And owners Kat and Mac, a husband and wife team, plan on keeping it that way. They started the company after researching woolens for Mac’s wedding kilt in Scotland, where they were wed, with the idea that they wanted to teach their kids to follow their dreams by leading by example (how fantastic is that!). They plan on keeping their manufacturing in the States and even donate a portion of their proceeds to National Parks Conservation Association.
If you’re more tie than bow, check out their tie collection which features contrasting backs!
