Trying to track down the perfect Charlotte wedding venue? We’re here to help. From area vineyards to historic homes and number of lovely outdoor choices, we’ve got options for you. And although many of our favorites are just outside the city, one thing is certain: Charlotte has wedding venues to spare, and each of these locations would make for an ideal backdrop for the wedding day you’re putting so much time and thought into.
Rocky River Vineyards
With more than 400 vineyards and 100 wineries across the state of North Carolina, we have to admit that we think the idea of a vineyard wedding is not only completely accessible – it’s also incredibly pretty. Rocky River Vineyards is one such location perfect for a wedding in Charlotte. The vineyard is less than a half hour from the city and regularly hosts weddings. The nature-framed setting includes a panoramic view of the vineyard, and is capable of accommodating parties of any size. The wild turkeys and deer that linger around the edge of the property only add to the location’s ambiance.
The Ivy Place
Originally built in 1850 by an Irish immigrant, Adam Ivy, the Ivy Place hosted its first wedding in 2005. The home, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, has been carefully maintained to preserve its Greek Revival architecture, and the accompanying barn and breathtaking gardens make for a timeless setting. A 1920s cottage on the property is available for both overnight visits and use during your wedding day, and the simple elegance of this venue has us utterly smitten.
A sweet Victorian home and wedding venue with beautiful outdoor areas and a barn fit for a formal dinner, the Alexander Homestead is the perfect blend of historic charm, rustic appeal, and upscale formality. The freshly-finished barn interior is a reception site filled with clean lines and twinkle lights, and the barn doors slide open to reveal a view of a sprawling lawn fit for cocktail hour.
