Southern charm and unique history are key components of Memphis’ background and present-day personality – as well as an inherent part of one particular aspect of the city’s wedding industry, its venues. From elaborate gardens to historic buildings, this place is filled with wedding venues exuding all the grace and hospitality one might expect to find a city whose roots run so deep. And while other aspects of Memphis’ charismatic appeal include barbecue and blues music, for now we’ll just stick to helping you find some of the prettiest Memphis wedding venues around.
409 South Main
Right downtown, with almost immediate proximity to major entertainment district Beale Street, 409 South Main is a historic venue and one of the prettiest, most expansive wedding locations around. The venue can host up to 500 seated guests among its three-storied, split level floor plan, and the red brick exterior and floor to ceiling windows are merely the icing on a very appealing cake. The perfectly-worn wood flooring doesn’t hurt our rustic reception décor dreams, either.
Memphis Botanic Gardens
The 96-acre spread of the Memphis Botanic Garden is not only easy on the eyes, but also gentle on the planning agenda. A venue with several different indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception sites, the gardens offer scenery and options to spare. The view from the Japanese Gardens overlooks a lake and is primed for an outdoor ceremony, while Hardin Hall has plenty of roof overhead and an adjacent terrace with access to the beautiful Four Seasons Fountain area of the facility.
Maple Grove Farm
Just outside of Memphis, and fully a part of Tennessee’s natural beauty, Maple Grove Farm is a sweet outdoor setting for Memphis weddings in a variety of themes. Rustic, elegant, and downright romantic, the grounds and manor on this 17-acre estate are complementary of many bridal styles. Additionally, customizable wedding packages are available to make the planning process a breeze.
