We actually signed up a $3088 package with Ann 9 days before he proposed!
Managed to bargain for a few extra perks as well.
Will be going down for our 1st fitting soon!
26 Feb 2010 Update:
Went for our gowns selection on 25 Feb, exactly 7 mths before our wedding day. Quite pleased with the selection. Looking forward to 2nd fitting and the photoshoot in March.
08 July 2010 Update:
Sorry for the lack of updates. We had our PS done on 26 Mar 2010. Selected our photos, review the album layout and now into the 3rd review of the album layout.
Personally, I think the layout design is quite template style. We managed to request GHA to edit according to our likes.
We have almost finalized everything with GHA. Shall update again.
15 Aug 2010 Update:
Collected our albums and portrait. Very pleased with the final result. Thumbs up for GHA.
We sort of finalize the timing of the MUA, chose our flower arrangement, car flower arrangement etc.
Conclusion: Communication is the key with all bridal shops. Let them know your preference and concerns openly. That's what we did with GHA. We were a little disappointed initially, but we like GHA more as we communicate more. Thumbs up to the flexibility and some small actions of Helen and her team. Yeap, we have no regrets signing with them. We have good comments from frens for my gowns and makeup. Definitely will recommend GHA.
Additional package for photoshoot we signed up quite implusively during a wedding fair Suntec on 10 Apr 2009.
We are very comfortable and signed up with Tiffany, the sales manager. Air-tickets (excluding tax) and accomodation are included.
No extra charges for MUA to follow for 2 days photoshoot as well.
We are glad we did signed with them. The photos turn out very nice. The photographers, MUA and even the sales coordinators are a friendly bunch of people.
05 Mar 2010 Update:
We recived our albums (1 big & 1 small), together with 2 table tops, 1 30" photo, signature scroll and edited photos in a DVD by DHL. Very prompt action from them. They sent out everything to us 1 day after we transferred the courier fees over.
Conclusion: We are very pleased with everything, from the beginning, to the album layout, until we received the actual things. If you are looking for overseas photoshoots for your wedding, you definitely won't regret in choosing NY Vogue. =)
Brillant rose setting proposal ring. He bought it at Jurong Point branch.
Our wedding bands from Bugis branch. We simply love them.

Our banquet venue after many hotels shopping.
Signed with coordinator, Jasmine.
Same venue but different date for solemnisation at Mayfair Pool with coordinator, Kimberly.
Reservations made for hi-tea buffet after solemnisation on 06 Feb 2010
Customized magnets+postcard as thank you gifts for my guests with Hanabrides on my ROM.
Very good service and fast response from Selina. I love the magnets also and kept 2 for myself =)

We got our ROM bridal posy from Astoria. It carries a wide range of artificial and real flowers.
I wanted to keep my flowers forever, so I go for artificial flower posy instead of fresh ones, (although fresh flowers look much nicer)
We mixed & match the flowers with the help of the lady and told her how I want my flowers to be wrapped.
Initially when I received the posy, I was a little disappointed with the too many leaves around. We trimmed the leaves a little ourselves. And I am glad that the pictures turn out quite well.
I'm glad we made another right choice.
Our solemniser, Dr.Phua Tan Tee.
Without him, the ROM event won't be able to carry on as planned.
A fatherly solemniser, and yet a fun and nice person who can calm us down. He can conduct the ceremony in English and/or Mandarin. At times, he will add in a little of Hokkien for some personal touch. His heartfelt words of encouragement made us feel that we are his children. The wishes can be felt from within.
We had compliments from frens after the event. We are glad that we invited him to conduct the ceremony.
We can assure that Dr. Phua will be a responsible solemniser and definitely will make the whole ceremony memorable.
Ordered the wrist corsages and boutonnieres for the jiemeis and brothers on our customary day (or actual day). I also ordered one matching pair for ourseleves as well.
Juan from lovewristlet is very nice to help me customised to my wedding theme =).
I love the wristlets and boutonnieres. I hope my sisters and brothers like them too. =)

Bought the contempary wedding series bed quilt cover set, which consist only 1 quilt cover and 2 pillow cases. Cost us $89.90. Quite expensive actually, but since my mum wants red, this is the most suitable.
Bought another set with plain red fitted sheet, 1 bloster case and 2 pillow cases. $53
Together with another 4 towels
Total damage $176.70
Blk 335 Smith Street, Chinatown Complex #01-77
Bought the dowry items for Guo Da Li from this shop in Chinatown. The bride and mum are looking around and this happened to be be our 1st stop.
We did not look around to compare prices. Somehow, we just stepped in. I guess we have affinity with the shop owner.
Bought the standard items, some double happiness stickers, red packets, red ribbons etc. Total damage is $145.
The auntie at Tiao Xiang is not pushy at all. She will not ask you to buy everything. She will just suggest and answers whateva questions raised. It's up to us to decide whether to follow the traditions.
There are a few more similar shops selling the about the same things. If you don't mind the hassles, just go around to compare. But if you are like us, we just decided on one to avoid more confusions.

Had our invitation cards printed in T&T.
Initially we wanted to use the cards and had our inserts printed in Dreamweavers. However, the price in Singapore is not as affordable. S$80 for customization and S$1.70 per insert. This is definitely out of our budget.
So we finally decided to go in to JB and had our cards fully customized. After customization of the card and artwork to the way we want, we only pay approx S$1 per card only. This is so much cheaper.
The lady who serve us, Janice, is a very nice and patient lady. She managed to combine our photos nicely. One week after we confirmed our cards, we can collect our cards.
Although we found some spelling errors on the map only after we received the cards, we decided not to reprint as we think that the errors are actually quite minor.
Overall, we had good experience with T&T. Definitely more affordable than to fully customize in Singapore.

Order our GDL pastries from dCelebrations or rather Dreamweavers.
Instead of the traditional cake, we opt for the modern pastries. 12 mini pcs is just the right amount.
The pastry are of standard and definitely won't give disappointments.
We engage Edmund for his chauffer service together with his white Jaguar.
When we view the car the 1st time, we kind of like it. He takes care of his car very well and we were quite impressed.
However, we won't really recommend to our frens though.
No doubt that he is a safe driver, but we feel that his service is just so-so.
On the actual day, he lost his way a few times and even followed the wrong car. We think if he can be more focused, we would be able to have our photoshoots elsewhere instead of at WX's void deck.
Nevertheless, we would like to thank him for the service as well.
We engaged WYMM Emcee services on our wedding dinner.
We got positive and negative feedback though. But we feel that Brian and Regine has done their best already.
Instead of the usual wedding dinner norms, we asked WYMM to plan some kind of D&D games for our guests.
Well, we certainly didnt regret engaging them.
Other than Emcee services, they do provide a range of bridal services. Feel free to contact them about your enquires =)
I got this handmade dolls as a surprise for WX. Found Jullie online one day when I was searching for wedding dolls. I love her dolls immediately. Glad that WX love it too =)
MYPlayground @ Suntec City #03-024B
We got this "wedding car" as keepsake for ourselves. We customized according to our likes.
Although some may find it expensive, we think its something we still can look at when we are old =)
We engaged Lawrence from Muse+Hues (previously Phototerrain) for our ROM and Customary.
We have nothing but thumbs up for him. His jovial character definitely helps to calm down the anxiety and nervous-ness.
He is always open for ideas and will give suggestions as well.
Do give him a call for discussion on your wedding day =)
