Since the Proposal

In the couple of weeks since Andy's proposal, things have been busy, busy. My mom flew into Atlanta Friday after we got engaged and we went straight from the airport to Priscilla of Boston. Those of you who know me, should know how picky I am when it comes to clothes and how long it can take me to decided on an outfit on any given day. You'd be surprised to know, I chose the second dress I tried on! It's amazing and that's all I can say (in case Andy actually reads this).
So, first things first: dress- check!
Saturday we started the reception site bright and early with Andy's mom, Judy, and Andy. (He's such an involved fiance). We looked all over Atlanta and around. You wouldn't believe how ugly the carpet is in most ballrooms! I know I can be picky, but I have a vision and that is not part of it. We went to about 8 places before calling it a day. After a few more long-distance searches we found The Biltmore Ballrooms (a five minute drive from my Buckhead apartment) and chose to have the reception in The Georgia Ballroom:
Then it was time to move on to my favorite part, the floral design! We met with the florist and in two hours had basically planned everything, from the bouquets to the tables in the ballroom! I'll try not to give it all away, but I'll just say, lots of lavender and ivory roses and an exciting surprise in the cocktail hour area (hopefully).
So, as yo can tell, things are going well, aside from my misfortunate accident with an xaco knife last night. (I won't go into details, just say a prayer of healing for my thumb if you get a chance ;) Love to all and If I don't say so before, have a great fourth of July weekend!
