Once Upon A Time...
Where It All Began
First meeting, Facebook, The first date
It all started when Becca decided to go to grad school in Atlanta. It was during the process of furnishing her apartment, when she found it difficult to find a good white desk in this town. She travelled all around north georgia to find one. This journey ended at the Dawsonville Outlets in a very round about manner "on the way" back from Stone Mountain (which is in the completely opposite direction from her apartment). After scanning the Pottery Barn outlet for a few minutes, Andy was approached by one, Mrs. Robin Belsha after carefully scoping out the salesman (for Becca of course). After convincing them to purchase the slightly overpriced desk and bookshelf, Andy had the opportunity to learn a lot about Becca...from Robin - Andy learned a lot in a very short amount of time.
During the actual transaction, Andy asked Becca to fill out the customer pick-up form. With that, he was able to remember her name (after repeating it constantly in his head for a few minutes). After his shift, he got home, logged onto Facebook, and found her...a little unorthodox i know, but we are in the internet generation.
Becca got home that night, put the desk and bookshelf together herself, placed her Mac on her new desk, and logged onto Facebook to find a message from the blushing red-headed salesman. That is where the real story began.
Over the next few weeks they began to talk occasionally online (o.k. sometimes 3 times a day). It wasn't for several months, however, until they finally had the chance to go on a real date.
On January 12th, 2007, after arriving about 45 minutes later than he had planned (he likes to talk), Andy arrived at Becca's apartment building. From there they left to go on the "surprise" date that he had planned. Unfortunately, he got slightly lost in the process on the way to the Georgia Aquarium (which was on Becca's blog as one of the places in Atlanta she wanted to visit). Andy took her hand while they watched the Beluga whales and they've been together happily ever after since.

The proposal that Becca planned and didn't even know it!
When Becca was little, she visited the Biltmore Estate in Ashville, NC, with her family. She had dreamed about it ever since. For over a year, she'd bugged Andy to take her there, but he kept finding excuses not to. While they were in New York for her portfolio review in May, he bought the ring. She was a little suspicious when he used the excuse, "I've gotta go to Starbucks, I'll be back," but had no clue what he was up to. When Andy got back to Georgia, he came up with a plan with the help of friends Chris Dearwent and Sophia Gaitanoglou.
Almost a month later, Sophia planted a message on her facebook status that she was so excited she was going to Biltmore. Becca took the bait and complained that she'd been trying to get Andy to take her, so Sophia invited them to go along.
They spent the morning touring the estate and the winery while it rained on and off. Becca really wanted to tour the Italian Gardens but Andy was waiting for the perfect time. (First he had to get the ring from Chris who had it in his pocket all day so they went to the men's room at the same time. Another reason for Becca to be suspicious, but she had no clue). When the rain finally stopped, Andy walked her around the walled garden and over into the Italian Garden where he asked her if she could handle him. She laughed, said of course and he whirled around, got on one knee, took her hand and asked,"Rebecca Marie Belsha, will you marry me?" Becca was in shock, asking,"what? now?" but quickly responded yes and Andy swept her up in his arms.
