To English speakers: This is Ben writing. Meaning, what I write actually reflects my English skills. Whitney would say that I speak perfect English, like a native speaker, with zero accent. I'm not so sure about that, but she loves me and she also loves bragging with me. Anyways, I am not trying to boast, but I thought that if you were afraid that your Whitney will marry somebody who you won't be able to talk to - well, you can address me in English just as well as her.
For those of you who consider coming over to Germany for the wedding, it might be useful to know that my parents both speak English to some degree (my mom is actually really good), and even my 11-year-old brother knows some. Also, many Germans speak English. So you will be fine!

An alle Deutschen: Ihr habt schon gemerkt, hier geht es ziemlich Englisch zu. Bitte stört euch nicht daran, dass wir die englischen Texte nach oben stellen. Leider kann man die Titel der meisten Seiten hier nicht ändern; auch dafür bitte ich um Verzeihung. Wie wir gedacht hatten, haben wir hier wohl mehr englischsprachige als deutsche Besucher. Fühlt euch deshalb aber bitte nicht weniger willkommen! Und habt keine Scheu uns auch deutsche Kommentare zu hinterlassen. Wir freuen uns über euch!
Noch ein Tipp: Vermutlich werdet ihr auf unserer Hochzeit ein paar Dinge erleben, die ihr von deutschen Hochzeiten nicht gewohnt seid. Wir sind nunmal ein internationales Paar, und das wird auch auf unserer Hochzeit zu merken sein! Wir werden uns aber bemühen, unterschiedliche Bräuche genau zu erklären.

Too funny Ben! I must say that you also write better than most Americans!!! I love the way you refer to her as our Whitney. She has always been our brown eyed girl.....now she will be yours also!

Hi Ben, I thought your note was great. Thank you for your communication. It helps to understand you a bit better. Somehow I knew your English must be pretty good. It might be hard to sing Johnny Cash in any other language -- especially with a Southern accent! By the way...which song was that?
I do hope you and Whitney will be happy. She is an amazing person --very loving and filled to the brim with enthusiasm. This is a giant step for the two of you. I wish you both much love with God as the center of your union. Love to you both, Grandma Cox
