Ben & Miranda

Wedding Party

Dean "Smooth Chili" Bring

Best Man
Dean "Smooth Chili" Bring

Dean has been there from the beginning. Growing up, Ben and Dean learned how to throw and catch anything and everything, cause shenanigans, win contests, and make great things happen. It is impossible to put into words how great Dean is. So I'm not going to even attempt it.

Ben's favorite memories of Dean: 1. Winning a car on The Price is Right "Great things in life don't come easy" 2. Dean dancing to "Crest Sparkle Mania" on TV and cracking his head open on Christmas Eve. 3. The El Camino 4. Senior week 2007 5. Youth participant

Dean is currently a law student at Capital University. He aspires to represent some big time athletes in the future and be the inventor of something awesome. Dean shares Ben's affinity for throwing things and going big, but never going home.

Brittany "Lil S'" Lustic

Maid of Honor
Brittany "Lil S'" Lustic

Brittany has been a friend of Miranda since their freshman year at the College of Wooster. They caught eyes and awkwardly met during an education class and have been soul mates ever since. Miranda and Brittany share an affinity for compulsive laughter and were roommates their junior year in college.

Miranda's favorite memories of Brittany: 1. Cranberry juice in Nalgene bottles 2. Picking random and matching outfits 3. Quesadillas, calzones, and ice cream concoctions 4. Our good friend Sue 5. Long walks on the beach

Brittany is currently a student at Galladet University studying deaf education in Washington D.C. While at the College of Wooster, Brittany enjoyed learning sign language, dominating in intramural sports (basketball record 0-9), and inspiring me with her quotes.

Tyler "Biscuitboy" Winslow

Groomsman
Tyler "Biscuitboy" Winslow

Famous for his invention of biscuit scented cologne, Tyler "Biscuitboy" Winslow has been one of Ben's long time friends. Tyler and Ben were classmates at The Columbus Academy for 13 years and played basketball and co-captained the track team together. Tyler also managed the varsity soccer team his senior year based on a coin toss one day after school.

Ben's favorite memories of Tyler: 1. His cowboy hat ride on top of Brian's stolen vehicle 2. Getting thrown out of the Schottenstein Center "Make sure these two get out of the building" 3. Getting cussed out by LeBron's mom 4. The hot sauce throw 5. The "Flamethrower"

Tyler is currently working for Plaskolite and plans to move to Seattle to go to graduate school for environmental policy. He enjoys basketball, biscuits, denim camels, green apples, and old baseball figurines. Tyler also plans to be involved in politics someday and to manufacture and market his world famous cologne.

Gina "Shakira" Crough

Maid of Honor
Gina "Shakira" Crough

Gina has been a friend of Miranda since their freshman year at the College of Wooster. They were immediately drawn together through their shared passion for field hockey and dancing. Most recently they trekked over the big pond to teach at the English International School of Padua in Italy. While there, they gained a new appreciation for free drinking water and bathrooms that don't consist of just a whole in the ground.

Miranda's favorite memories of Gina: 1. DDPs 2. Our weeknight TV shows (OC, Greys, Desperates) 3. Singing (or screaming) songs on the bus to and from field hockey games 4. Wooster Fighting Scots Conference Champions 12-0 5. VIP club with David, Michele, and Frederico in Via Reggio

Gina is currently working in Pittsburgh trying to refill her bank account from our European adventure. She enjoys honey mustard, taking pictures of flowers and lampposts, and swiss cheese fondue.

Brian "Comrade Rufio" Koranyi

Groomsman
Brian "Comrade Rufio" Koranyi

Also known as Rufio, Brian is another long time friend of Ben's. Growing up, these two built their friendship on gym class domination in both kickball and basketball, as well as daily competitions on "time tests" for multiplication. Eventually Brian found out that he was really good at chess and abandoned his persuit to be a professional kickball player (although still good at tennis)

Favorite memories of Brian: 1. Not being allowed to be on the same kickball team because of complete domination 2. Brian beating up Will Baird in 3rd grade when Will attacked Ben during a recess basketball game. 3. Endless nights of ping pong 4. NBA Jam and Ken Griffey Junior rivalries (pretty much one sided in Brian's favor) and stealing birthday cake during the summer of 2005 5. Naked run 2007

Brian is currently in the process of completing his victory lap at The Ohio State University with a degree in Mathematics. Brian is going to be one heck of a math teacher some day with his dashing good looks and unmatched charm. He also throws the best dinner parties known to mankind.

Julia "Julia Guglia" Keosaian

Bridesmaid
Julia "Julia Guglia" Keosaian

Julia has been a friend of Miranda since their freshman year at the College of Wooster. Julia has a brilliant understanding of Miranda and is a perfect consultant for any obstacles or for a terrific conversation. Since Miranda had the privilege of living in a dorm room next to Julia in Armington Hall their senior year, Julia has the ability to identify Miranda’s cough and clearing of her throat from miles away - all the way from Boston! Miranda may have even inspired her to become a throat doctor based on Julia’s desire to eliminate such a wretched sound.

Miranda's favorite memories of Julia: 1. Phobia, masked ball, cowboys and Indians, artsy, red-head, Lammy, rave… 2. Cough Cough A-hem 3. Concoction master 4. “I.S. is for losers…” 5. Filling the Kauke arch with snow

Julia is currently living in Boston and studying for the GREs. In her spare time she eats popcorn with Curious George.

Troy "HAM" Testerman

Groomsman
Troy "HAM" Testerman

Ben's friendship with Troy can be summed up into one word. Ham. During the beginning of second semester senior year, Ben and Troy were watching the hit MTV show "Rob and Big" and created quite possibly one of the greatest quotes of all time (repeating ham as many times as you possibly can with the occasional rapidfireham). Ben and Troy are also known for their epic battles on the golf course and guitar hero face offs (although Troy currently has bragging rights for the song "sweet child o' mine" for the moment).

Favorite memories of Troy: 1. Camopants and tank week 2. 2 a.m. sledding, southpark, and hotpockets 3. Senior week 2006 and 2007 campus golf and dumpster diving 4. Ham 5. Throwing biiiggg water balloons, couches, oranges, and cinder blocks out of windows

Troy is currently a graduate student at Cleveland State University for engineering. Troy and Ben plan to open the first ever ham n' t-shirts business in their later years and to fix up an old bus for tailgating at ohio state football games.

Natasha "Chamsky" Leickly

Bridesmaid
Natasha "Chamsky" Leickly

"Now Tash..."

Natasha is one of Miranda's sisters. Although Tash is six years younger than Miranda, Tasha's maturity and Miranda's lack thereof makes them close sisters and friends. She is always willing to help Miranda by listening to Miranda's stories and laughing at them even when they aren't funny and letting Miranda steal her clothes. They even created a secret way to talk to each other through the vents in their house when they got in trouble for biting their sister, Clarissa. Miranda is still waiting for the day when Natasha awknowledges the fact that she is Miranda's field hockey creation.

Miranda also appreciates Tash for her ability to put up with her fiance over the past 6.5 years.

Ryan "Puddin' n' Pumpkins" McCrystal

Groomsman
Ryan "Puddin' n' Pumpkins" McCrystal

Ryan and Ben became friends quickly freshman year at Denison based on their shared interest in the University of North Carolina basketball program. The friendship excelled when they both realized each others love for throwing things out of windows and an overall need for constantly causing trouble.

Favorite memories of Ryan: 1. Chocolate pudding, big round orange juicy pumpkins with Bjorn, and the "Shorney Trike" (pretty much all of sophomore year in Shorney being the best yet worst RAs ever) 2. "Hey y0 fat girl, come here are you tickleish?" 3. Making illegal passes to sneak into the Cavs lockerroom and seeing LeBron James naked 4. Team Ghiloni 5 on 5 Champions 2007 and Luke Jackson (and many other intramural titles...in fact, Ben and Ryan won all their intramural titles together) 5. Some theater kids at Denison decided to do some improvisation exercise in the dining hall one night that really upset Ryan. The "Burpees" kids were acting out a war using chairs as machine guns. Being the good RA that he was, Ryan threw and drilled one of them with a greasy piece of broccoli. That's Ham Son!

Ryan is currently working as a researcher for ESPN and hangs out with big shots all day. His apartment smells of rich mahogany, and he enjoys eating cookie dough as fast as he can, making snow angles, hitting oranges with baseball bats, and shoving cookies into VCRs. Ryan is best friends with Digger Phelps.

Clarissa "Catfish" Leickly

Bridesmaid
Clarissa "Catfish" Leickly

Clarissa is Miranda's other sister. She looks like a catfish.

Future aspirations: Blimp rider

Andrew "Pookie Bear" Pakla and Ashley "Get that outta mere" Albrecht

Friends
Andrew "Pookie Bear" Pakla and Ashley "Get that outta mere" Albrecht

Ben and Andrew were roommates during their last two years at Denison. During this span, they spent countless nights causing trouble (Charlie Brown tree and orange tossing) while maintaining a difficult science schedule. Ben realized that Andrew is a very formidable opponent in the talents of dart throwing at Christmas ornaments, pong games of all sorts, and NCAA football domination. Ben's favorite memory of Andrew was during Andrew's tank week and Edward 40 hands into a paper bag with a large cowboy belt and pink underwear (this is a run-on sentence, however, if that night was compared to any grammatical term, it would definitely be a run-on). Andrew is currently working in a lab in Lancaster, Ohio and is going to apply to medical school in the coming years.

Ben and Ashley became great friends through Pooks (even though Ashley never tells Ben when she is coming to Columbus and he is pretty sure that she likes Miranda better than him for some reason). Ashley ran track and cross country at Denison for four years, however, it wasn't until her senior year that she realized a very important equation that would bring much success to her running and Ben's favorite memory of her. Fast Socks + Fast Shoes = Fast Ashley. Ben gave Ashley some of his lucky running socks that he used in high school at the state track meet, and the rest is history. Ashley is still unable to "throw people outta here" and is currently working in a nerd lab in Maryland. Ashley also plans to go to medical school.

Anlyn Addis, Anne Leigh, and Katy Baron

Friends
Anlyn Addis, Anne Leigh, and Katy Baron

Anlyn, Anne, and Baron came to Wooster with dreams of going straight to the top of the NCAC in field hockey. They each came from stellar field hockey programs and they were ingrained with the desire to knock people over and take names. While their dreams of making it to the "big dance" were never actualized (NCAA tourney), they were able to make their last year an unprecedented perfect NCAC season.

Baron was the first person Miranda connected with on the field hockey team during preseason at Wooster. Miranda remembers meeting Baron for the first time in the training room as they were molding mouth guards on move-in day. Baron has always been a beast on the field hockey team and enjoys doing fart-licks (sp?) in her spare time. Miranda loves Baron's enthusiasm for life, photography abilities, overall goofiness, and our shared passion for Italia. One day Miranda and Baron will buy a villa in Tuscany and smash grapes to make vino.

Anlyn was Miranda's roommate their sophomore year and Miranda got the privilege of witnessing the beginning of her relationship with Brian Conaway (wedding in November). She and Miranda also roomed across from each other in Armington during their "senior living experience." Anlyn has always had an open door policy for Miranda and was always willing to chat and over analyze field hockey (I was pretty much obsessed) or to discuss life. Miranda appreciates Anlyn for her honesty, dependability, her love for Law and Order (we took naps to the show sophomore year), and her total domination on the hockey field.

Anne, both in field hockey and in life, has always had my back. Together we have had in depth conversations about winning championships and the future. I enjoy our girl talks about our boyfriends, wedding planning, and our excitement over the chance to marry our best friends. Anne was also on Miranda's hall during their senior year at Wooster. Anne rounds out the 50% of the girls on our hallway with weddings in 2008 with her marriage to Rick this Christmas in Denver.

Chris "Daaaaaayy" Day and Emily Ellis

Friends
Chris "Daaaaaayy" Day and Emily Ellis

Known for his striking resemblance to Ivan Drago from Rocky IV, Chris and Ben were friends since freshman year and never looked back. Yet another person who shares Ben's love for throwing things out of windows, Chris excelled with the freshman year trash drops, orange tossing out of Sawyer, and hitting Hercules with snowballs. Ben's favorite memories of Day include "Dumpster Diving '06 and '07", beating Street Fighter on Super Nintendo, and his addressing security about the mysterious "treehouse/tank" outside our room at 3 a.m. Chris is currently pumping up his trainees as a personal trainer in Columbus, Ohio. Chris is marrying Emily Ellis on August 2, 2008 on a beach in North Carolina, and Ben and Miranda are excited for the occasion.

Ben and Emily became friends through Day during junior and senior year of college, but Ben is convinced that Emily likes Miranda more (just like Ashley). Ben's favorite memory of Emily is from this past summer when Miranda, Emily, and Ashley thought it would be a good idea to break through the guarded gate at their apartment complex for some midnight swimming. Emily currently works at Worthington Industries and loves hot wine.

Andrew "All-American for a week" Terlecky

Friend
Andrew "All-American for a week" Terlecky

Andrew Terlecky was a pretty big deal at Denison University. Following his 3 interception and game winning touchdown performance against Waynesburg, big #4 received All-American status for a week on Division III football.com. Andrew and Ben played cornerback for a season together for the Big Red and spent countless nights together studying for physics and listening to James Blunt. Ben's favorite memories of Andrew include winning the "V Foundation" 3 on 3 basketball tournament, "step-back 3's", shutting out Crutcher, Andrew and Big Nick's performance singing "I saw mommy kissing Santa Claus," and midnight sledding/wrestling in the snow during senior year.

Andrew is currently a medical student at Ohio University and plans to maintain his badass personality as a future physician. The Ukraine is strong.

Steve "Manly Ham Scooterboy" Flatley

Friend
Steve "Manly Ham Scooterboy" Flatley

Ben and Steve first met as members of the Big Red football team, where they both were place kickers who converted to corners/wide receivers. The duo still claims that they were the only kicker/receiver combo in the entire country. The frienship continued beyond the football field when Steve decided to bring back Razor scooters. The two formed a scooter clan that rode all over Denison at all hours of the day, yelling and causing as much trouble as possible. One time Steve tried to make a dinner in Ben's apartment but couldn't figure out how to use the stove. There are so many great memories that Ben has of Steve, but he is unable to list them all on this website. Some of Ben's favorite memories of Steve include "coming clean" with Teddy-O on Wednesday morning lifting, single-handedly bringnig back Razor scooters, scooter races in Slayter and the library, primetime seating with T-roy and Ryan, the real IM soccer champs, and grape soda.

Steve is currently a junior at Denison University and is studying abroad in Perth, Australia. Although Steve already lived his true senior week, he plans to make the most of his senior year next year with lots of blood, sweat, determination, and ham.

Stephen "Black Dragon" Thurman

Friend
Stephen "Black Dragon" Thurman

A mutual friend of both Ben and Miranda, Stephen gained his nickname as a joke (although true) from a lunch room conversation during their senior year in high school. Ben and Miranda continue to enjoy Stephen's consistent sarcasm, witty innuendos, and his overall outlook on life. Ben's favorite memories of Stephen include "the incident" in Ben's car at The Gateway in the summer of 2007 (Kool and the Gang "Too Hot" was on the radio...Stephen probably has no idea what this means), chicken wings in mailboxes, Stephen's seduction of Denison students out of Ben's dorm window, and pretty much every moment spent with him. Miranda's favorite memories of Stephen include girl talks in the chess lounge or CASCL at Academy, being Stephen's soccer mom in her red van on their way to the performance of STOMP, getting in trouble in the parking lot of the bowling alley, and Stephen's fashion sense - gray is the new black. Stephen is about as classy as you can get.

Stephen is currently in graduate school at Berkeley getting his Ph.D. in philosophy. He also enjoys shorts, sandals, and vividly colored shirts.

Kishore "Shomobile" Jayanti

Friend
Kishore "Shomobile" Jayanti

Kishore and Ben have been friends since the second grade at Academy. They grew up playing basketball together in gym class and eventually became teammates on a 6th grade travel team. Ben and Kishore were also on the "Math Counts" team together in middle school (although Ben was an alternate). Known for his good looks and quiet charm, Mr. Shomobile is truly one of the most intelligent people Ben knows. Ben's favorite memories of Kishore include the catapult they built in 8th grade, the biggest botch in history (OSU/Michigan football ticket), endless nights of pranks in high school, "Kishore it's your birthday, happy birthday Kishore" (his birthday is everyday), and Kishore's love for Shawn Kemp and the Seattle Supersonics.

Kishore is currently working for Google out in California and plans to attend medical school next year.

"Psycho" Steve Bedosky

Friend
"Psycho" Steve Bedosky

Ben and Steve became fast friends during the 2004 football season as the two kickers on the Denison University Big Red football team. Ben thought it would be a good idea to try out football, and was honestly one of the best decisions of his life. Steve took Ben under his wing and taught him everything he knew about kicking, punting, and life. Some of Ben's best college memories come from football and the friendship he made with Mr. Juice himself. Steve Bedosky is a true friend who maintains the highest level of integrity, competitiveness, and exemplary character. Ben's favorite memories of Steve include DKGC meetings with Dr. Sit Footler on Friday afternoons, random kicking competitions everyday, Steve's ability to lift heavier weights than most of the football team, the eagle at Racoon International, gameday spirals on Saturday mornings in Mitchell, and every single day we spent practicing together on the game field.

Steve currently works for York International out east and maintains his love for football as the special teams/strength and conditioning coach at his old high school (Trinity High School). Someday Ben and Steve plan to make millions on a "how to kick and punt a football" instructional video and they plan to be golfing buddies on the senior PGA tour.
