We are VERY excited about our wedding party!
Max is Bernhardt's brother, a great guy, an excellent football player, and one of this countries finest citizens. When he is not scoring touchdowns or hanging with Snoop Dogg, he ushers at weddings. We are blessed to have him at ours: take a seat, but ask Max first.
Bernhardt: "I am really thrilled to have my brothers in Charleston for my wedding I haven’t seen them since we got beat to a Disney contract by the Jonas Brothers (Macy is our Janet)."
Matthew is Bernhardt's brother. He has excellent handwriting, is an up standing resident of the Milky Way Galaxy, and was once lead singer in the group Tone Toni Matthew before they found Tony. Don’t ask him about loot and take a seat.
Bernhardt: "Matthew its great to have you here, lets get the Geyer Brothers back together and take down the JoBros."
A short scene:
Stacy - "Bernhardt, describe Paul for our wedding website."
Bernhardt - "Paul is...the man."
Stacy - "Yes?"
Bernhardt - "He's THE MAN!"
Stacy - "Ahhh, I see."
Bernhardt - "Really."
*Bernhardt met Paul through an old friend back in Chicago, around 2003. Together they can conquer the world...or have fun with ANYTHING around them, including old bikes, sticks, jars, and basically anything not nailed to the ground. They are best friends - they even write each other real handwritten letters. Enough said.
*Stacy actually met Paul before Bernhardt did - he was the PR intern at Steppenwolf the year before she was. They met n the SW parking lot. They never saw each other again until 2005.
Stacy and Amy met in 1998 in the dorms at College of Charleston. George introduced them on St. Phillips Street. All it took was a 2 Skinny J's concert, a bunch of pizza, and a D in tennis class, and they were best friends. Stacy could not fathom her wedding without Amy K.
Amy is currently in dental school at USC. She lives with her fiance Ben in Columbia, SC. Amy enjoys good food and wine, buying clothing at the Thrift Store, and epic musical choices.
There are no words to describe the love they share.
Seriously.
Stacy met Trey Simpson on March 21, 1993 - she was in 7th grade and he was fresh out of the womb. When he started kindergarten, Stacy started college (their poor mother). Even though they had distance between them for many years, they have stayed very close. Now that Stacy and Bernhardt are closer to GA, Trey dreams of driving to Charleston at the speed of light in whatever truck he can take! Trey has had his own lawn business since he was very little - Stacy finds this very impressive and thinks her brother is the smartest.
Stacy met Jessie in 1998 outside of the C of C dorms. She was dressed in black with dark sunglasses. Stacy thought she was a beatnik. They started on a road of beautiful friendship that took them both to Chicago, and then back to Charleston. Jessie is also reading in the wedding - she has a really nice "outside" voice:). Jessica is one of Stacy's smart friends (she likes the law). You can usually find Stacy running across the street to J's house, scamming on some sort of amazing meal that Jess has prepared, reading her People Magazines, and drinking her wine. AHhhhh, friendship!
Stacy can't imagine her wedding without Jessie - she's too fancy!
OHHHHH YOHO!
Stacy met Jade through Bernhardt in 2005. After ending up in the same places constantly, they decided to hang out on purpose and became great friends. Jade taught Stacy how to crochet and showed her where the good sushi was in Chicago. Jade hails from Indy and is a fantastic baker. She is also a zookeeper [her specialty is primates]. In Chicago Jade was Stacy and Bernhardt's neighbor. You could usually find Stacy at Jade's house drinking tea, getting her hair cut, or just hanging out and having girl time.
Jade enjoys working with animals, shopping, and dancing her heart out!
Laura wins the title as Stacy's oldest friend. They met in 1994 at Frederica Academy and have stayed in touch through countless moves, colleges, life experiences, apartments...needless to say, it's been an amazing 15 (and counting) years of friendship.
Laura now lives in Brunswick, GA with her boyfriend Ed. They have an awesome house with fire pit! Laura is an amazing cook, has great fashion sense, and the best sense of humor. When you meet her, listen to her laugh. It's like magic!
Leslie William Nielsen OC (born February 11, 1926) is a Canadian-American comedian and actor. Although Nielsen's acting career crossed a variety of genres in both television and films, he has achieved his greatest film success in comedies, including Airplane! and The Naked Gun series of films. His portrayal of serious characters seemingly oblivious of (and complicit in) their absurd surroundings gave Nielsen a reputation as a comedian.[1] A series of later comedies attempted to emulate the popularity of his prior roles.
This paralleled the serious roles of his early career. Leading roles in the science fiction classic Forbidden Planet and as the ship's captain in The Poseidon Adventure came long before Nielsen considered a turn to comedy. His deadpan delivery as a doctor in 1980's Airplane! marked a turning point in Nielsen's career, one that would make him, in the words of film critic Roger Ebert, "the Olivier of spoofs."[2] He may be best known for his roles as Frank Drebin in The Naked Gun, Dr. Rumack in Airplane!, and most recently, President Harris in the Scary Movie series. Nielsen has appeared in over 100 films and 1,500 television programs over the span of his career, portraying over 220 characters, and is now ring bearer in our wedding.
