Proposals

Huntington Beach, CA Proposal by Brett and Tori Photographers

With a little help from friends and family, Daniel pulled off a fantastic beach proposal. Gathering at Huntington Beach (home of some terrific margaritas, btw), his co-conspirators wore tee shirts spelling out “Will you marry me?” And of course, Brilane said yes! These pictures are why you make sure that you invite a photographer to a proposal this big. Thank you to Bretti and Tori Photographers for sharing this very magical moment!

Budget-Friendly, Alternative Engagement Rings from Satomi Kawakita

Having worked in just about every art form (glass blower, wood, metal and textile designer, diamond setter), Satomi settled into jewelry design in 2008, but you can still feel the influence of her other mediums. Every piece has a very organic feel so even the smaller settings stand out in their uniqueness; you can further…

Lordy-They’re-Cute Proposal Dolls from Momiji

So I was finally coming down from our big announcement this morning and then I ran into these Momiji dolls and now I’m all excited again (no need for caffeine when you’re a wedding blogger…). Aren’t they the cutest?

And they are more than meets the eye. Each hand-painted doll has a space inside for a tiny secret message where you can write a message of love or, even better, ask the “big question.” They would be such a romantic way to surprise her on Valentine’s Day, plus she’d have a tiny keepsake of the big moment to take with her.

These pieces are limited-edition with only 2500 sets created world-wide, which means that your proposal will be truly unique (and if you want to buy one, you’ll have to hop to it).
