Customizable Shoes from Chromatic Gallerie

So you’ve decided on your dream color palette and found the perfect poppy-colored bridesmaid dresses. If you’re anything like me, you are determined not to have mismatched shoes that could feel distracting from the main attraction – you and your groom. Which colors will complement your look? Are your girls the sky high heels type or do they want to be closer to the ground in a classic flat? Do they want round, pointy or peep toes? That is just too many decisions for any one woman to make for another.

Beyond that, shoes just don’t always fit everyone the same. I don’t know about you, but there are always certain styles that I will try to squeeze my feet into again…

Isn’t Thursday a Good Day for Some Shoe Porn?

Today just seemed like a good day for some aspirational window shopping. Ever since “Sex and the City” went off the air I have to resort to trawling Barneys for my fashion ooh’s and ahh’s. I love these sweet little flats above. The Derek Lam (left) has just a skosh of edge, and the Lanvin (right) is pure preppy goodness.

This Sergio Rossi sandal is all about shutting.it.down. And the Bottega Veneta denim slingback is what you wear after shutting it down has taken its toll.

I am in love with this mint color on Harper by Barneys New York Co-Op! The coral Miu…

An Inspiration Board That’s All About the Ruffle

I’m not going to lie to you, I love myself a girly ruffle. And it seems to me that there is no better time for pulling out the pretty than right around your wedding. Whether you’re adding a ruffled necklace to your shower outfit, decking your bridesmaids out in these killer peony dresses from Quail Bridal or adding a ruffle-y heel to your wedding dress, it’s a feminine way to let the world know here comes the bride.

Inspiration Board: Fabulous Feathers

Generally recognized as a symbol of good luck, many brides are integrating feathers into their weddings. If you like this idea, add small touches to avoid looking like a Mardi Gras gone awry. The only exception is, of course, if you are actually having a Mardi Gras themed reception (as shown in the feather centerpieces above).

Especially if you are sticking to a white or pale color palette, small feathers can add interesting texture to bouquets. If you are going with bolder colors, such as red or black, incorporate them into hair accessories or shoes.

Sponsored Post: Find Chinese Laundry Shoes to Match Your Dress

Planning my best friend’s wedding is starting to become a lot harder than I thought. The theme? Vintage inspired with a modern twist. So what does “vintage inspired” mean to her? She has a list ten miles long which consists of family heirlooms, the Victorian era, delicate lace details, gardens, antiques, cream and blush tones, black and white pictures and so on.

So I am happy to say that we can check off the dress. It has amazing feathery lace detail that covers the low back and wraps around the side of the gown meeting the gathered chiffon at the waistline. It is the most beautiful shade of cream and the cascading chiffon of the skirt shows an alluring…
