Fresh, Custom Invitation Suites from MaeMae Paperie

I first fell hard for MaeMae Paperie’s wedding invitations when I saw this suite featured over on The Loveliest Day as part of an inspiration shoot. The designs feel so… well, fresh is the word that keeps circling around in my head. They feel like a summer day. Springtime on a stick. A day down at the beach. Yep, I’m going with fresh.

And I was so pleased to see that all of her invites have a similar feel – each suite has its own unique style while maintaining a similar clean and modern aesthetic. They are just gorgeous, aren’t they? She has several options, too, designed to fit a variety of budgets. She offers…

Jordan and Julia’s Special Day in Los Angeles, CA

What was the theme or design inspiration for your wedding?
We wanted it to look like us – we didn’t want it to look manufactured or standard in any way. We wanted it to be eclectic, but simple and classy at the same time. Ultimately our own aesthetic sense and style were the inspirations, as well as the landscape around us.

Tell us about the bridal attire:

Favorite design element of your big day:
We decided not to have wedding colors…

Alissa and Rich’s Rustic Elegant Affair in Los Olivos, CA

How did the two of you meet? Tell us your story:

We walked together from Washington Square Park to Union Square Park, where I lived at the time, exchanged numbers and the rest, as they say, was history! It was only fitting that Rich proposed at the exact spot in Washington Square Park where I had first approached him. This time, I said little more than “YES!!” and started…

Sim and Leslie’s Elegant Wedding in San Diego, CA

How did the two of you meet? Tell us your story:
Well, we tell it differently, so here is mine and his:

Leslie:
It all began when our mutual costume designer friend, Julie Weiss, insisted that I meet “the greatest guy” named Sim. Having a horrible track record with blind dates, I politely declined. Julie, being as persistent as she is, gave Sim my number anyway. He called and amazingly, we had a lot in common and he sounded like a non-psychopath. So it was on, I had a blind date! That was it, I was hooked. It wasn’t long before we were spending lots of time together at the movies, batting cages, and lots of dinners. Sim made…
