Finding the Right Videographer

Of course, it is every bride’s nightmare to pop in her wedding video and get nothing but blurred guests and muffled sound. But, relax! Finding a talented videographer is just like hiring any other wedding professional. Here are the basic questions to ask:

Can I see examples of your work?  This is going to show you everything from their technical skills to their cinematic style. When you are viewing the video, make notes about things you like and things you don’t. How are the transitions? Do you enjoy the style of the edited product? Is the videographer capturing the scenes you would want to have?

As you have probably already found out, there are a lot of wedding photographers out there. How to pick? Here is our best advice to help you find the best photographer for your event:

Who’s in your local area? Before you fly someone out from London, make sure there isn’t an awesome photographer right in your own backyard.

What is your style? Do you know what type of photography you are looking for? Pinterest is actually pretty handy for this. Go through wedding pictures to get an idea of what you want your photos to feel like.

Chances are, your wedding reception you will feature a photo booth to entertain your guests. You already know all the reasons why a photo booth is a great choice, but often overlooked are the props that will appear in those photo booth pictures.

A Romantic Comedy Save the Date Trailer from Delack Media


When Christen and Mike came to Delack Media Group for help with their save the date, they only knew that they wanted something different. Within a couple of weeks, they had a romantic comedy trailer that outlined their relationship (I love when Mike arrives at the bar – classic!), starring the couple themselves.  Talk about a fun, creative way to get guests excited for your Big Day!

Michelle and Charles’ Vietnamese and Western Style Wedding

Is it just me or do wedding videos have a way of making you tear up? Every time I watch Michelle and Charles’ wedding video by IQ Videography, it gets me all misty-eyed. It’s all of the real emotion – the laughter! the tears! the love! – that’s packed into this one day that you can’t help but get swept up in it.

The Textographer Creates Pictures Out of Words, Literally

At first glance, this photo looks like any other poster-sized print of a very cute couple on their wedding day. But upon closer inspection…

Holy cow! Are those words that make up her face? Why, yes they are. Very clever, that Textographer, wouldn’t you agree? He and his group of classically-trained artists break down your photo and replace it with text of your choosing so it mimics the original.

And, what a great way to remember a special part of your day – your vows, all of the guests that attended your wedding, song lyrics from your first dance – in a completely unique way.

I guess in this case, a picture really would be worth a thousand words (sorry, just had to do it!).

A Roller Coaster Save the Date Video

I am so excited to share this video with you all today I can hardly stand it!
