Make this wildflower bouquet for your spring or summer wedding if you like a free-spirited, modern style.
Total Cost: Around $30.
Supplies:
flower clippers
string
ribbon
Flower Recipe:
5 stems Rice Flower or Yarrow
5 stems genestra or Wax Flower
5 ranunculus or Garden Roses
2 stems of Dusty Miller or Artemesia
10 stems of sweet peas
Steps:
1. Take leaves off the bottom of the flower stems.
2. For this bouquet, you will be keeping each type of flower pretty separate. Start with a bundle of dusty miller in your hand and add the sweet peas to the right of it, at about the same height.
3. Next, add an open ranunculus bottom towards the bottom the bouquet. Add two buds to the mix at a much taller height than the rest of the bouquet.
4. Add a bunch of rice flower to the front of the bouquet and the genestra to the back. Leave the stems long and wild.
5. Secure with twine.
6. Add a colorful ribbon.

Tips/Mistakes:
Rice flower causes allergic reaction in some people. If you are sensitive to flowers, you might want to substitute Queen Anne’s Lace or Yarrow. Make the bouquet the night before the wedding. Store in water and in a cool, dark place.

I grew up in a countryside and I am a big fan of wildflowers
This is a beautiful bouquet! I love the colors so, so much. And the ribbon too!
I love this, I have worked in flower shops on and off for the past 12 years and I ADORE wildflowers…they are my fav!
Such a fun DIY project for any bride! And the colors are perfect for a spring or summer wedding… thanks for sharing!
Perfect diy flower project now since the wild flowers are blooming!
What would be good compliment bouquets for this? As in, for bridemaids? And for the guys? I absolutely love this design and have every intention of walking down the isle with exactly this!
Hi Maegan, For possible bridesmaids bouquets you could choose a subtler version of this bouquet by simply using one color of flower and similar greenery. I’ve also seen lovely greenery bouquets done before as a coordinating choice. So, in this case, you could have bridesmaid bouquets made up of Rice Flower, Yarrow, Genestra, Wax Flower, Dusty Miller, and Artemesia. You could follow a similar vein with boutonnieres – Dusty Miller, Wax Flower, and a pop of color with a Ranunculus would also be great looking. Hope this helps!
love this bouquet! its fresh, simple, and it can be done in many different colors. Im doing mine in violet and lavender shades instead of peach and yellow. very pretty!
