I don’t know about you, but I currently have approximately 20 “in progress” craft projects.  From unfinished quilts to partially sewn napkins to an ill-advised foray into needlepoint, the last thing I need is to start one more thing. But these painted mason jars most definitely had me at hello.  Especially the black one. I need that on my bookshelf. Stat. These are all great detail pieces for weddings and showers. Think beyond just using them as vases. You can illuminate a room by using battery-operated mini white lights (they sell them in really short strands, so that you can just stuff them in the jar). Display bright Sharpies or an array of colored pencils in them for guests to use when signing the guest book. If you just stencil a design and the rest is clear, you can use them as table numbers by creating pseudo-time capsules. Have each table represent a different stage in your lives or relationship and fill the jars with bits of memorabilia: photos of the coffee shop where you met, concert tickets from your second date, subway tokens from that time you got lost in New York City, etc. These pretty jars are just another way to make your wedding a little more unique.
