Weddings are pretty much gift-giving marathons. Which is awesome, because who doesn’t love a gift? But for people involved in a wedding, there are so very many gifts to remember: bridesmaid gifts, wedding gifts, shower gifts, groomsmen gifts, bride and groom gifts…the list can go on and on. For brides and grooms, knowing what to give their very best friends can be difficult amidst the chaos of wedding planning, so here are a few helpful suggestions:
First, be old-fashioned in a cool way and send your prospective wedding party cards asking them to be in your wedding. Yes, you could just send an email. But emails are for ordinary things and real mail is special. Send both your groomsmen and bridesmaids a witty card.

Second, when in doubt, be practical. Give your groomsmen something they will actually use, both on the day of and the game day the following week, like a beer cooler. Give your bridesmaids something they will need, like a mini-emergency kit for the bridesmaid that stains just always manage to find.

Third, don’t forget clever little details for yourself. “I Do” stickers in sparkly blue are both adorable and check one thing off your “something old, something new” checklist. And add a little something special to your rehearsal dinner with unforgettable champagne flutes.

And to start you off on your gift giving, Beso Bisou is giving away a terrific bag filled with goodies in a bride’s tote bag (“I Do” panties and shoe stickers, bride “minimergency” kit, thank you cards, and champagne flutes), valued at $100. To enter (you must be in the U.S.), leave a comment on the post about the best bridesmaid gift you have received (or hope to!). And for all readers, Beso Bisou is giving 20% off all purchases through 2//7/2012. Just enter the code: DELIGHTFUL at checkout!

a beautiful clutch!
My best friend and I were a sucker for tea parties. For her wedding she got so many little keepsakes for the bridal party including Brooch bouquets that we made together for the big day. But my absolute favorite item was blooming jasmine tea in a glass teapot. The day of the wedding was stressful for everyone, but the tea was so relaxing, and it was the most gorgeous centerpiece to adorn my night stand at the hotel. Not only was it beautiful and practical, but it was extremely sentimental to the story of our friendship.
Each time I’ve been a bridesmaid I’ve received the jewelry the bride wanted us to wear as a gift. Its fun later on when I wear it to remember why/when I got it, but I’m also ready for something more creative!!
I was the maid of honor in my mommy’s wedding when I was 13, she gave me this beautiful jewlery box engraved with her wedding date and her love for me, also at that time I was totally into Tweety Bird so she gave me a pink (my fav color) tweety bird watch. I have been in a few weddings and received great gifts but these were by far the best.
The best (and only) bridesmaid gift I received was from my best friend. I was her MOH. The BM’s all received jewelry to wear for the wedding, a manicure kit, a very cute Vera Bradley luggage tag, and a sweet picture frame. As the MOH I received a GORGEOUS Coach Poppy Wristlet, which I use every time I go out on the town!
The best bridesmaid gift I received was this really cute candle. And the bride knew how much a lot of us loved candles so it was a cute idea for us!
I’d love to receive a locket with a picture of me and the bride! Something that I can cherish forever and friends and wear on her big day
I haven’t been a bridesmaid yet, but I gave my girls beautiful leather jewelry cases.
A sequined clutch!
A beautiful yet simple necklace, I am actually wearing it today!
i would love to win this giveaway! the best gift i received was a monogrammed cosmetic case.
I would love to receive a custom clutch! I also love all the stuff in your shop!
I always get jewelry to match the outfit, but I like everyone wearing something different. I think a clutch would be great!!!
My girlfriend got each of us a charm for a necklace — so while we each got something that was “the same” it was also different to reflect our personalities a bit more.
I haven’t been a bridesmaid yet, but I hope that if I receive a bridesmaid gift, it is both practical and sentimental. I am thinking monogramed tote bags and a classic piece of jewelry for my girls.
These are the best toasting flutes I have come across so far! They are fantastic!
Personalized make up bags from the bride! She had them made just for us and had a special message sewn on.
Im going to be maid of honor at my best friend wedding and I’m hoping that we get something personal but am able to use. Something practical.
I have not been a bridesmaid before, but I am engaged currently. I have a friend who received a nude Coach wristlet as a bridesmaid gift in a wedding and it was wonderful. She uses all the time to dress up or down. I think the best gifts are practical ones that can be used afterwards.
The most awesome bridesmaid gift I’ve ever heard of anyone receiving is that of my bridesmaids. My fiancé and I are making their dresses (we couldn’t find one in the store we liked) and the necklace they will wear (fiancé’s idea). I am super psyched and I know they are too!

I wouldn’t mind getting shoes I love shoes!
I am hoping that I get shoes or a great purse for a bridesmaid gift! I bought my bridesmaids’ shoes for their gifts.
I am helping a friend plan her August wedding long distance, and tonight was informed I’ll be in the wedding party. It is a first time for me, so I would be happy to receive any gift-but I think a nice momento of the wedding would be perfect, and something monogrammed would be nice too, like a hand stamped necklace with my initial & engraved on the back with the wedding date as a keepsake.
i got a candle and a swarovski bracelet
I received a travel size set of high quality make up… Fun to use for date nights! I would love to receive/give unique jewelry pieces, like something found on Etsy.
I am helping my friend Laura plan her June 2012 wedding and I could not have asked for a better time in our lives for us to share together (I’m also planning my 2012 wedding which she is a bridesmaid in as well). Sharing the excitement, the nervous, the chaos and all of the ideas with each other is something I know I will always cherish. The best bridesmaid gift Laura could give to me and the other wonderful women who will stand next to her on her wedding day would be a personalized piece of jewelry that we can keep, wear and cherish no matter the life stage we are in or where life takes our friendship. A timeless bridesmaid gift is a perfect bridesmaid gift.
My friend gave us all bridesmaids a beautiful gold clutch. Looked fantastic with our dresses and I can use it to accessorize other outfits too!
The best gift I got was a lovely sterling silver necklace. I still wear it today, years later!
Not only did my best friend give her bridesmaids and I a beautiful pearl necklace the day of her wedding, but made us each framed pictures of her favorite moments with us throughout the day. So sweet!
I customized a hat box for each of my bridesmaids with their initials and ribbon reflecting the graphic print of my invitations. I wanted the contents of the box to set the stage for the mood of the day. I included vintage wrist gloves for them to wear with their dresses, a small frame (I inserted “will you be my bmaid” in the picture part), candle, and a toast to bubbly with a sofia can of champagne. I think they enjoyed it and I loved making the boxes for each of the girls. I really believe it will be the small details and ensuring that my wedding party is comfortable that counts!
My favorite was a sparrow necklace that the bride gave to each of us girls. We all grew up together and had a secret club that started when we were in 5th grade til graduation, and we were called Sparrows
My sister gave us pearl necklaces as a gift
Thanks to everyone for participating! We have selected the winner and will be contacting her shortly.
