Jenny’s thoughts on their engagement:
How did the two of you meet?
Jeffrey and I met at my best friend’s house one summer through mutual friends. He was the athletic and good-looking one of the group.
How did you know that he was the one?
I knew he was “the one” during a ski trip at Lake Tahoe. He patiently and painstakingly taught me how to snowboard for the first time and pulled me all around the mountain on foot when I grew tired and frustrated. He was so patient and kind to me, i couldn’t help but fall in love. He was also a really great skier and I thought he was really cool and sexy. In addition to that, his goofiness won me over. He was always cracking jokes with his friends and making funny comments. He’s also really positive and can power through any hardship and had a great music collection. There is never a dull moment with Jeffrey.
Tell us about the proposal!
We got engaged at the Parker Hotel in Palm Springs. We drove out from our place in Loma Linda for one night because it was all we could spare during one of the busiest times of our lives. Once we got there, he lead me to a hammock on the hotel grounds just as the sun was setting and we lay there until it got dark. Once the stars came out Jeffrey became very silent which happens only when he is thinking of something really big. At that moment a feeling washed over me. It was the same exact feeling butterflies in my stomach feeling I had when he asked me out ten years ago. He then rolled out of the hammock and onto one knee and asked me to marry him.
Tell us about your engagement shoot.
We chose this location for the engagement shoot in order to go back and capture the proposal forever. Now whenever I look at these artfully photographed moments, I think of that night he proposed to me. The actual proposal site is now preserved with us forever.
